Also, Suda51 worked on a few of the Fire Pro games. FPW Special certainly has his trademark weirdness. Taken from Suda Wiki (yep, that's a thing, thank you Google): "The plot follows the path of a fictional pro wrestler attempting to prove himself as the strongest there is. Through a long train of ranked matches, he slowly gains notoriety as a wrestler as well as the grudging respect of his contemporaries. The hero encounters Akira Maeda's fictional sister and falls in love with her, but she spurns his romantic intents, causing him to fall into a deep depression. To make matters worse, just before his championship match, he watches as his American trainer is killed right before his eyes. Even after becoming the undisputed pro wrestling champion of the world, it's a hollow victory without anyone to share it with. Deciding that everything was all a waste of time, he commits suicide." Because that's what wrestling fans wanted, right? It doesn't mention there that the guy who kills the MC's trainer happens to be Ric Flair in all but name.

Ishiwatari Daisuke (the guy behind pretty much all of Guilty Gear) worked on the original Last Blade as well, from what I've been told. I know at the very least he worked for SNK around that time before breaking off and doing his own thing. Also yeah, everyone should play Skyblazer. It's one of the best underrated SNES platformers ever made.

I think Todd Howard is the most inspiring for me, he just didn't quit. If he had quit I wouldn't have gotten to play TES or fallout 3, and those are games I put a LOT of time into. I remember watching interviews with him right up to when skyrim came out, and he looked exhausted and ready to pass out every time, the guy is a workhorse and his games show it.

I got Skyblazer a couple years ago on a whim while on an Ebay retro game shopping spree. I haven't regretted it since.

DAT SKYBLAZER Sheriff? Wow, heh that explains why you see Wario rip it off in Warioware. Imagine if Sheriff got a re-imagining, like Kid Icarus Uprising.

I was about to mention the WarioWare thing as well before I saw you pointed it out. I actually think that it would be hilarious if they made a reimagined game where Wario was actually a money-hungry but bumbling Sheriff who rounds up outlaws whilst being a bit of an outlaw himself. I just think he'd suit that perfectly but it would never happen, lawls. And they already have Dillon to be fair.

Skyblazer looks awesome, I'm probably going to try that out now.
