To join our Mozilla Labs Night, RSVP here: http://www.meetup.com/Mozilla-Labs-Meetup/calendar/13194973/
Our meet-up for April will be held on Thursday the 29th, starting at ~6PM. This time we will be meeting at the Mozilla Headquarters in Mountain View on the 2nd floor. Please note that if you come after 7PM you will be... unable to enter the building so plan accordingly.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but please sign up by Monday April 26th so we know how many people to expect. Dinner will be provided for everyone. Catering is still TBD.
The speakers for this month:
* Stuart Parmenter, Mozilla Mobile Director, will give an in-depth update on the developments behind Firefox for Android and Weave Sync.
* Mike Hanson, Mozilla Labs Principal Engineer, will cover the experimental Contacts project which is enhancing the browser by making it aware of your online contacts and friend lists. He will give a demo of the latest version and talk about what this could mean for the future of social browsing.
* Dan Mills, Mozilla Labs Engineer, will present new ways for Firefox to act on your behalf to help you connect to sites with one-click and give you more control.
We'll also be providing short (~5 minutes) presentations on the latest progress in each of the Mozilla Labs projects. In addition, we’ll provide open presentation timeslots. If you have a project that you would like to talk about, you can have up to 5 minutes to present. There will be a sign-up board at the event.
Hope to see you there!
