Kambiz Homayounfar,
President and CEO
Mr. Homayounfar has worked in telecommunications
business as an engineer and entrepreneur for
more than 20 years. He is the founder, president,
chairman, and chief executive officer of Genista.
Over the past 15 years, he has built high-tech
companies in the US, Canada, UK, Japan, Switzerland,
Malaysia, and Singapore. He was formerly president
and CEO of Algorex Inc. (San Francisco, California),
a communications software company he founded
in October 1996 and sold to National Semiconductor
in December 1999. Kambiz graduated from University
of Wales (UK) with an honors degree in Physical
& Computing Electronics and went to graduate
school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
(Troy, New York) for advanced studies in Stochastic
Processes and Digital Communications. He worked
at Asahi Chemical (Tokyo, Japan) and at TCSI
(Berkeley, CA), is the author of several invited
technical papers, and an inventor on several
fundamental patents. Kambiz is a Member of
Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers,
Member of American Mathematical Society, Member
of American Audio Engineering Society, Member
of SPIE, Member of Association of Computing
Machinery, Member of Acoustical Society of
America, and a Member of New York Academy
of Sciences.

Kassra Homayoonfar,
Managing Director
Kassra Homayoonfar manages Genista's
third-party sales channels and handles all
the operational and legal issues of the
company. He is a graduate of University
of San Francisco and Stanford, and has extensive
experience with the financial and administrative
management of technology companies.

Stefan Winkler,
Chief Scientist
Dr. Winkler is one of the world's
top experts in digital media measurement technology
and a key contributor to the Video Quality
Experts Group. He received a Ph.D. in Digital
Image Processing Applications from Swiss Federal
Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) in
December 2000, after which he joined Genista.
Stefan has worked at Siemens, Hewlett-Packard,
IBM, and German Aerospace. He is the author
of 20 technical journal articles and his book
Digital Video Quality: Vision Models and Quality
Metrics is published by Wiley.

David McNally, Managing
Director
Dr. McNally is an expert in the design
and deployment of commercial media management
solutions. He received a Ph.D. from Swiss
Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (ETH)
Zurich in 1993 following which he became a
Fellow at CERN. He joined Genista in 2000,
where he focuses on business development for
video quality performance analysis of multimedia
system architectures.
