Welcome to the Code::Blocks web site

An open-source cross-platform Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for C/C++ - currently ;).

Code::Blocks is an IDE built specifically to meet the most demanding needs of its users. It has been designed, right from the start, to be extensible and configurable...

Code::Blocks is built around a plugin framework that allows it to be extended through the use of external libraries (plugins). Actually, much of Code::Blocks functionality already available, is provided by plugins. Code::Blocks even includes a plugin creation wizard to help you create your own plugins easily!

To make the long story short: if you need functionality that isn't there (yet?), just add it yourself, and feel free to share it with the rest of us, if you like!

For more information on Code::Blocks, please read the overview in the Code::Blocks Handbook.

I hope you enjoy using it.
Yiannis :)

Applied for project space at tigris.org

I applied for project space at tigris.org. I preferred tigris.org over sourceforge.net because of the much better tools it offers plus the fact that it will soon support Subversion (a CVS replacement) which is so much better than CVS.

Hello everyone!

The site is up, at last! I hope you like Code::Blocks, both the application and the site ;)
You may have noticed that although the application is open-source (GPL), there is no link to the source whatsoever! Well, there are some reasons for that...
