Jasc Software Releases Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8 Public Beta

Eden Prairie, Minnesota (2/17/03) Jasc Software today released the public beta version of Jasc Paint Shop Pro 8, the most complete and affordable photo and graphics editor. Paint Shop Pro 8 combines automatic and precision photo editing and graphic design tools with an integrated learning system, to help users produce superior results.

"Paint Shop Pro 8 changes the face of digital imaging," Kris Tufto, president and CEO of Jasc Software, said. "No other software includes revolutionary features like Automated Productivity Scripts or Dynamic Personalization, proving that we understand the future of the industry by making complex digital photography tasks less cumbersome."

Automated Productivity Scripts allow users to record, edit and save commonly used processes to apply to individual or batches of images, and Dynamic Personalization lets users create custom menus, toolbars, keyboard shortcuts and workspaces for fast access to tools they use most often. Users can even create multiple environments based on the tasks they want to accomplish.

"Paint Shop Pro 8 is a powerful photo editor that can take on all comers," Dave Huss, author of digital imaging books, said. "As a digital photographer, I am impressed with the vast array of digital image correction tools that, up until now, have only been available as expensive PhotoShop plug-ins."

"If you want to make photos look better, Jasc has enhanced Paint Shop Pros already powerful set of image enhancement tools to give both beginners and power users what they need to make even poor quality photos look great with only a few keystrokes," Huss said.
