Updates

  • Back in 2008, we installed our first wall-mounted ThinkingWall panels to Shine Workspace (Leeds). That was a really long time ago - so long that: 📞 the BlackBerry was *the* work phone and email on the go felt revolutionary 💬 there was no whatsapp, Instagram or TikTok 🌎 George W. Bush was President for most of the year, until the huge cultural moment of the first Black POTUS, Barack Obama ❌ The X Factor dominated UK TV culture 🃏 Heath Ledger's Joker was massive Feels like a really long time ago, so we went back to Shine recently to see how the boards were holding up. Close ups below... we wish we had aged this well. Despite almost 20 years of "daily, heavy use" (as reported by Shine), the boards are immaculate. No blemishes, marks, chips or scrapes. Really proud to have made something so durable and high quality. It's one thing to say that our products are built to last and another to put our money where our mouth is and revisit with a photographer almost 20 years later. If you're thinking of adding whiteboards to your workspace, search "ThinkingWall" to find out more.

  • We'll be in Clerkenwell next week, if any of our followers fancy a catch up? 🥂 You can find us at 45 St John Street, EC1V 4JW from 19th-21st May. We'll have a number of ThinkingWall mobile units on display, so it's a good chance to see them (or see them again) and discuss any relevant projects/ask any questions of Dan Varney while we are in the area. In the same space are BACHMANN Group (premium workplace electrical engineers) and Ochno AB, AV/UC meeting-room docking station. Last but by no means least, next week is a chance for southerners who may have missed the debut of Logovisual Ltd's Hub in Birmingham last month to come and see what all the fuss is about. Hub (pictured below) is an AV table featuring truly integrated technology, having been built around state-of-the-art solutions by Ochno and Neat. All tech is very discreet but also easily accessible for maintenance, setting Hub apart from many competitors where tech feels like it's been bolted on as an afterthought. So don't delay! Add us to your diary today! See you next week 🤝

  • At The Workplace Event | The Facilities Event this year, we decided to donate our 'stand giveaways' budget to charity. Instead of giving everyone a ThinkingWall branded whiteboard pen, our team chose three meaningful charities and we invited delegates to vote for where they thought the money should go. We are really pleased to announced that: - Marie Curie UK received nearly half the votes at 52.1% - Ronald McDonald House Charities UK received 27.1% of the votes - DKMS UK received 20.8% the vote Our stand budget was £400. We have now donated £208.40 to Marie Curie, £108.40 to Ronald McDonald House and £83.20 to DKMS. So although the event is over, the impact continues beyond our stand this year. For us, this was a small but meaningful way to rethink what "giveaways" can be and to make a conscious choice that aligns with our values. A big thank you to everyone who took the time to vote and be part of it.

  • Nearly 20 years ago, we installed ThinkingWall to Shine Workspace (Leeds) as part of a refurbishment to turn a beautiful listed building into a state-of-the-art, premium co-working space. We revisited recently and were absolutely delighted to see the boards still looking as good as new! Free from blemishes, chips or marks despite a reported "daily, heavy use" - and despite the (quite niche, whiteboard-related) crime* of using permanent marker instead of drywipe. Times have changed a lot in 20 years, including the way we work and the format of meetings. However, Shine report that despite adding tech such as mobile screens to the space over the years, the whiteboards remain constantly appreciated, well-used, and as much of a focus as they were nearly two decades ago. We've taken photos, including close ups, so you can see the long-lasting durability for yourself. Find out more here: https://bit.ly/4cEb5RC *not recognised as a crime in the legal sense. Should be.

  • ThinkingWall is a system of practical, mobile office furniture that allows you to create meeting spaces and breakout areas in your workspace. As well as partitioning the space, ThinkingWall provides: 📺 Integrated audio-visual technology 👂 Acoustic panels to reduce noise disruption 📦 Storage - cupboards and shelving to suit your needs ✍️ Premium whiteboards And all of this with no need for disruptive or costly permanent construction! • And that's a wrap! Three days of making new connections and catching up with old ones as well as learning about some plans for office redesign. Thank you Nineteen Group for your hard work on The Workplace Event | The Facilities Event, glad we were a part of it. Some of our initial reflections from the event: - it was great to see the response to ThinkingWall, so many people doing our marketing for us with statements like "so we could use this to adapt our workspace to whatever we are doing at the time". Absolutely great to see people immediately grasping the flexibility of our mobile system and how well it suits the unpredictability of "who is going to physically be in the office/meeting today". - A lot of love for whiteboards! The Collaboration Zone was used as we hoped it would be with people picking up a pen and scribbling ideas to share, focusing their thoughts and conversations. - loved the slices by Conker Living Limited in the Collaboration Zone, enabling a quiet conversation for two even when the band was playing. Really clever, well designed acoustics which seemed to get a lot of attention. - Pleased with the reception for Hub, Logovisual Ltd's new release AV table featuring connectivity, conferencing and charging from Ochno AB and Neat. Facilities Managers/Office Managers appreciated it on a practical level and was also good to impress the tech people who passed by and loved how well integrated and discreet yet accessible the premium tech is. It was great to see our hard work and designs appreciated in the way we hoped. - nice networking opportunities in the evening with other exhibitors, everyone mutually respectful of focusing time and energy on delegates during the day while the opportunity for exhibitors came to life in the evening (not sure about the band starting during the last 4pm talks though). - the Cauliflower Satay starter at the Sky Bar & Restaurant was one of the best things on the menu and anyone who didn't order it wished they had. Thank you to everyone who made our event a positive experience. Until next year. 🤝
