Berkhamsted School IT Conference reposted this
We live in a fast paced world, where technology advancement is now moving frantically. AI, robotics, quantum computing and bioengineering are just a couple of examples. Yet education move very slowly indeed. This was the focus of a presentation I recently gave at the Berkhamsted School IT Conference. I increasingly feel we need to move quicker, but that to do so we need to get better at risk management, and in particular identifying and focussing on the risks which are most likely to cause harm, such as the safeguarding issues which surround AI generated imagery and AI bias, plus around wearables. We also need to continue to make use of our collective educational networks, using the power of the many to seek to address the challenges at hand. As such I thought I would share a blog post summarising the key points I discussed. 🔗 in the comments.
