“I had the pleasure of working alongside Kevin in the analytics and technology space, and he’s one of those colleagues you genuinely miss when they’re gone. Kevin is someone I’d regularly go to when I was stuck on a problem. He’s a knowledgeable advisor and generous with his time, and if he didn’t have the answer, he’d point me to exactly the right person who would, which made a real difference on fast-moving engagements. What stood out was how Kevin consistently pushed the boundaries of what we could do within the constraints of the existing tech estate, always with a clear focus on improving delivery and freeing up time for higher-value work. He also made knowledge management a genuine priority, not just in principle but in practice, making sure good work and IP were captured and reused across the team. When things got more complex or tricky, Kevin was someone I relied on to help navigate stakeholders and structured environments, getting things done without unnecessary governance friction. I’d happily recommend Kevin to any team looking for someone who combines strong technical understanding with a practical, collaborative approach.”

Deals don't achieve their objectives or realise synergies for all kinds of reasons. Overpaying, poor integration strategy, weak execution, insufficient integration budget, diversification that never made sense.

I’ve spent 20+ years and 100+ deals learning what drives integration success and failure. With this experience and insight, I pre-deal deliver integration insights in days, not weeks enabled by AI. This allows me to provide maximum value to businesses at a speed that can't be matched.

Where most deals run into trouble is the gap between the plan and the organisation's actual ability to deliver it. I get brought in to close that gap. Unless you understand how a business actually operates, across its functions, people, processes, technology, culture, and leadership dynamics, the investment case doesn't get delivered. Beyond the immediate deal, I also help companies build the integration muscle for future acquisitions.

I work early pre-deal to challenge assumptions and surface the risks that financial and legal DD won't catch. Sometimes I review an integration that's already in flight and identifying where value is leaking or stuck.

What I do in practice varies. I run high impact workshops, help leadership teams shape operating models, set up governance that works, and build the delivery rhythm needed to turn intent into results. I've led integrations across bolt-on acquisitions, full mergers, platform buy-and-build strategies, vertical integrations, founder-led and family business acquisitions. Each comes with different dynamics, and applying the same formula is where value gets destroyed. Where hands-on leadership is needed, I step into interim executive roles to provide continuity and momentum.

The thread that runs through all of it is the human side. Most of the risk in any deal sits in the things that don't show up in a spreadsheet: how well change is understood, how aligned leaders really are, whether the people doing the work are with you or just waiting it out. That's where I focus, because that's where value is won or lost.

I've worked across 100+ transactions with deal values of $10m to in excess of $17bn. The outcomes include double-digit growth, meaningful cost and revenue synergies, and improved profitability. What sets the work apart is helping leadership teams achieve results while keeping the organisation intact and people engaged, not just hitting the numbers at any cost.
