Most agency leaders I talk to built something they are genuinely proud of. But somewhere along the way, the business started running them rather than the other way round. That is what I work on.

I help founders and leaders of digital agencies, typically 10 to 40 people, step out of the day to day and focus on strategy, growth, and the longer term direction of their business. That might mean scaling, building a stronger leadership team, improving performance, or preparing for exit.

I spent 30 years in and around digital agencies, leading teams, building products, and running businesses. I grew an agency fourfold to 40 plus people, and learned a lot along the way about what works, what does not, and what it really takes to carry that kind of responsibility.

Over time, I realised the part I found most rewarding was helping people grow and seeing the impact that had on the business. That gradually became my focus. What started as a few conversations and requests for help has turned into the work I now do full time.

My approach is grounded in experience. I have made mistakes, worked through difficult decisions, and understand the trade offs that come with leading and scaling a business. Alongside that, I have a genuine curiosity about what makes people and organisations work. More recently, that includes a growing focus on how AI is changing the landscape for agencies.

I am a qualified business coach and mentor with the Institute of Leadership and Management.

It has taken me a long time to say this publicly, but I am dyslexic. I have come to see it not as a limitation but as an asset. It shapes how I think. I tend to see patterns across complex situations, connect ideas, and ask questions that get to the heart of an issue. It also means I listen carefully and try to understand what is really going on, not just what is being said.

Outside work I live in London with my partner, two teenage children, a dog, and a cat. I read widely, enjoy theatre and live comedy, and most mornings you will find me walking my dog around Stoke Newington.
