We are very proud to have delivered a bespoke reception sign for Design International at their London office. We have supplied and installed a cut 3mm brushed stainless steel logo, mounted on locators. The outcome is a striking, sculptural piece that feels completely at home in a creative studio. Most of the time we are working with architects and their clients to blend a signage scheme seamlessly with a design scheme. Every now and then the architect is working on something a little closer to home, and of course we are delighted to support the vision. #Signage #Office #London #Architect Matthew Bush Sam Ballard

We don't always think of signage as enhancing the environment. We might think that signage just gets in the way of good architecture and good design. But when a signage company works in partnership with an architect, the choice of materials available helps to make signage a feature and not a distraction. During the design of working and living environments, it’s important to understand how the choices made will affect the the way users interact with the space. Signage can have a positive or negative effect on how a space is used and engaged with. Our job is to help make signage a cohesive part of a building design plan. By using creative signage solutions we can enhance an environment and make a positive impact on how people feel about their living and working spaces. #signage #architecture #builtenvironment https://bit.ly/47nErzS

xsign delivered the internal and external signage schemes for Woolgate Exchange – a prestigious office redevelopment in the City of London. Working with Mace and a design team led by Stiff + Trevillion Architects, we were tasked with delivering a modern, brand-led wayfinding system that complements the building’s premium finishes and functional layout. Externally, the signage package includes large-scale branding to key elevations using aluminium and acrylic signs, edge-lit with 2700K lighting. The Woolgate logotype signage was placed at multiple entrances including Basinghall Street and Coleman Street, with dimensional letters fixed to planters and façade panels to help create a sense of arrival. Internally, we supplied a broad range of directional and amenity signage across 9 floors. This included powder-coated folded steel signs with vinyl lettering, acrylic cut lettering, and digitally printed vinyl signs. These were used for primary messaging such as core identifiers, stairwells, WC designations and key facilities. We applied standardised font styles and colour schemes to ensure consistency throughout. #signage #wayfinding #london #offices

Updating and upgrading computer, security and operational systems is normal for a business, but why does updating signage and wayfinding get ignored? Wayfinding signage is one of the most important interactions your staff and customers have within your building. It doesn’t matter if you are in an office, hospital, hotel or educational facility, how frustrating is it if you can’t find your way around because of a lack of signage? Even worse: the signage is out of date or unclear. Wayfinding signage should be looked at regularly, considering customer service, employee wellbeing and health and safety. When was the last time your organisation reviewed its wayfinding signage? ➡️ Is it easy to understand? ➡️ Legible? ➡️ Accessible? It's easy to forget how often the dynamics of a building change. If the wayfinding signage has not been updated for some time it is possible that room numbers and departments have moved or changed. Have the signs been changed to match the move? Do you have a signage system that allows for those changes? If you need some support with a wayfinding strategy, or would like to know more about a signage system that is purpose-built for the flux and change that takes place in modern buildings, give us a shout. #signage #wayfinding

xsign designed and installed an internal and external signage scheme at 80 New Bond Street in Central London for RED Construction. On entrance to the building you see aluminium signage displaying the building name, The Burlian, and iconography detailing directions down to the bike store. In the main lobby, we have fitted a 5mm thick aluminium tenant directory, with 10mm thick aluminium bars and a routered groove, designed to allow for future changes. As you navigate each floor, we have supplied 3mm thick aluminium floor level indicators, and a wide range of 3mm thick aluminium letters and icons to provide wayfinding and navigation to key facilities such as showers, toilets, stairs and shared facilities. One of the most important features of a hospital or healthcare setting is the signage. A well-planned signage scheme takes the welfare and safety of patients into account, alongside the security and wellbeing of staff. When implemented correctly, hospital signage can enhance the patient and visitor experience. When commissioned to do any signage project in healthcare settings, knowledge gathering is an important part of our process. We’re proud to have been involved with several hospital signage and wayfinding schemes across the UK. Did you know that in 2021-22 there were 19.6 million Finish Consultant Episodes (FCEs) recorded at hospitals. FCEs refer to a period of care for one patient with one consultant at a single hospital. That means a lot of patients, medical staff and visitors are using signage in hospitals and medical environments and it's vital that the schemes are fit for purpose. #signage #healthcare #medical https://bit.ly/3MW0XYl

Over at Edgeley Park last week for the Stockport County game against Port Vale, alongside our customers VINCI Building UK and Tilbury Douglas. ⚽️ Great to see the xsign branding around the club as part of this season’s sponsorship. The club signage looks great too! For the Stockport fans out there - my fingers are crossed for Saturday’s game against Stevenage 🤞 If you have any signage requirements in or around Stockport do get in touch 📧 leb@xsign.com 📞 07918 218835

xsign provided the external signage at Dock Offices in Canada Water for creative agency f.r.a, who led on the design process. The scheme was developed for British Land as part of their placemaking strategy for this vibrant London district. Dock Offices is a Grade II listed former Dock Managers office. The external signage package features a series of totem signs and wall-mounted signage, designed to be in-keeping with the space. We manufactured powder-coated aluminium wayfinding totems with tenant directory panels, mechanically fixed to custom fabricated frameworks and securely anchored to reinforced concrete foundations. Additionally, we produced 10mm aluminium panels with white SAV graphics, resin-fixed aluminium panels with router-cut detailing, and wall-mounted signs incorporating concealed fixings and black PVC risers for depth and contrast. #signage #london #wayfinding
