  • We’ve been helping people get outdoors since 1962 but for many, Scotland’s wild places can still feel out of reach, whether that’s down to confidence, kit or circumstance. That’s where Connect Outdoors comes in. Our free hiking programme, delivered in partnership with Mhor Outdoor and The John Muir Trust, is designed to break down those barriers. In 2025, we worked with 44 people from communities across Scotland, covering a total of 2,913km, from Arthur's Seat to Ben Lawers and along the Aberdeenshire coast. 92% of participants said they felt more connected to nature after taking part. We’ve now published our 2025 Impact Report, made possible thanks to the support of Patagonia, Montane Ltd, Rab, Berghaus Ltd and The National Lottery Heritage Fund. A special thanks to Glenmore Lodge for their support in developing the new Connect Outdoors leadership programme. Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/e3Hz68xG #MyTiso

  • We’ve had an incredible week hosting the ‘Hidden Leaders’ events in our Perth and Glasgow stores. A huge thank you to our inspiring speakers - Anna Fleming, Craig Mathieson from The Polar Academy, and Connect Outdoors - for sharing such powerful stories and insights. It was fantastic to see so many people come together to celebrate resilience, leadership, and the outdoors. Thanks so much to everyone who bought a ticket - you helped raise over £500 to support Scottish Mountain Rescue 💚 #MyTiso

An evening at Tiso Group Glasgow for their Hidden Leaders event. The evening was shared with 3 inspirational talks from different organisations within the outdoors. The Polar Academy sharing what the Polar Academy is and what they do. Team members from this years Finland trip in attendance and Eilidh joining on stage to share her story. SO proud.🙂 Amazing response by the audience to how life changing it is 💛 Great intro by Connect Outdoors on their community based projects & hearing from Anna Flemming on her mission to bring the Bolivian Women climbers to the International Winter Meet in Scotland, 2027. Thanks to Chris Tiso for bringing back these events, looking forward to more in the future. BRP Rab

  • Last week, twenty of our in-store and office colleagues attended Outdoor and Social 2026 in the Peak District, where they got to learn about and test exciting new kit from our top brands. The three day camping event was the perfect way for our staff to get to know our product in the environment it was designed for. 🏔️ A huge thanks to the @_and_social team for an amazing week! 🙌 #MyTiso

  • Yesterday, Mark Wong and Ashley Farr from our Digital Team took part in panel discussions at the  Ecommerce Scotland Conference. The event brought together some of the leading digital minds to explore how Scotland can unlock its full ecommerce potential through automation, AI, machine learning, and the latest marketing strategies. Ashley highlighted the importance of blending high street soul with omnichannel scale, exploring the advantages of an omnichannel retailer - including click & collect and ship from store - while also discussing the role of retail theatre in-store and why physical retail still matters. Mark spoke about how AI is transforming Tiso’s ecommerce operations - turning manual bottlenecks into automated workflows, empowering non-developers to build real tools, and allowing the team to focus less on repetitive tasks and more on work that genuinely moves the needle. It was great to see the team representing Tiso and contributing to the conversation around the future of retail. #MyTiso

We were proud to support Anna Fleming on a trip to Bolivia in 2024, where she first climbed with and interviewed the Cholita Climbers. Since then, they’ve kept in touch, and it has been their dream to visit Scotland. Anna has now launched a crowdfunder to bring Julia, Elena, and Judith to Scotland for two weeks in 2027. While here, they’ll take part in the International Scottish Winter Climbing Meet, organised by Mountaineering Scotland, meeting climbers from around the world and honing their skills in technical winter climbing. Support their journey and read more here: https://lnkd.in/eXWt7NHB We’re excited to welcome Anna as a guest speaker for our upcoming Hidden Leaders event series in Perth (31.3.26) and Glasgow (1.4.26). Further details will be shared soon. #MyTiso

  • We recently lent pre-loved pieces from our resale initiative, Worn But Not Worn Out, to students at Edinburgh Napier University to support their exploration of 'Gorpcore' as part of their design course. Last week, CSR Manager, Joanna O'Flynn, had the pleasure of speaking to third-year design students about how Tiso approaches brand and product impact - from circular design principles to implementing circular systems within a retail business. It was encouraging to see the next generation of designers engaging critically with resale and circular systems. #MyTiso

  • What an incredible journey with Sole Sisters Scotland 🤩 From The Hermitage and Birnam Hill to Ben Vrackie, Schiehallion, Glen Clova, Beinn Dorain, and the iconic Buachaille Etive Beag, this ambitious Connect Outdoors programme took the group to some of Scotland’s most breathtaking places. “I did change a lot regarding figuring out my inner capabilities and endurance. It was an extraordinary experience.” Thanks to Mhor Outdoor and The John Muir Trust for their partnership in creating inclusive outdoor adventures! #MyTiso

  • January’s a great time to have a clear-out 🙌 If there’s kit in your cupboard that’s no longer getting worn, donate it to our Worn But Not Worn Out scheme. You can now drop donations to any Tiso store, making it even easier to give your gear a second life. Any profits raised are donated to charities supporting outdoor communities and the environment.
