  • A week on and we are still reflecting on what a great evening this was. Bringing together good people for an important cause, hearing more about the work of Muscular Dystrophy UK, and helping raise more than £100,000 made it a night to remember. Well done to everyone involved.

A special evening representing Three Hills on The LCap Group’s table at the Muscular Dystrophy UK Charity Sports Dinner in the Long Room at Lord’s. Great to bring together CHROs, learn about the work of this fantastic charity and raise over £100,000 - Big thank you to Simon Fallon for bringing us together.

  • There’s probably only one appropriate reason to post about Arsenal on LinkedIn today. And that’s if you’re heading to the Emirates tonight for a charity football match supporting cancer research. This evening, LCap will be joining CBPE, alongside portfolio companies and advisors from across the wider network, for the CBPE Charity Cup in support of The Institute of Cancer Research. After 22 years, Arsenal are champions again. Regardless of the team you support, there’s something genuinely impressive about the way they’ve gone about it. They stayed patient when things weren’t working, resisted the pressure to constantly change direction, and kept building towards something over time. In the end, that belief in the process paid off. Tonight is obviously about something far more important than football, but it does feel like a fitting evening to be at the Emirates, supporting a cause that matters to many people. We’re looking forward to supporting CBPE and seeing many of our partners and friends across the market tonight. • Private equity is changing how it approaches leadership and talent strategy, which is no longer treated as an add-on to the value-creation plan. It’s becoming part of it. That’s the conversation James Fassnidge and Bruce Douglas are in New York for today at Hunt Scanlon Media's “Return on Talent” summit, alongside investors, operating partners, talent leaders, and executive search specialists from across the market. If you missed them earlier this week at ONE Houlihan Lokey Global Conference, there’s still time to catch up today at the Harvard Club in New York. If you’re attending and would like to connect, drop them a DM. We're a trusted leadership adviser across the investment lifecycle. We help clients increase enterprise value through Leadership, Risk, Talent, and Development. Start of week two in NYC. Week one of working alongside James Fassnidge to build the foundations of The LCap Group in New York was full of very productive meetings with both existing and potential clients. Plenty more people to catch up with this week. Our first week was rounded off with the Play Rugby USA gala dinner which showcased the great work the organisation does with young people to develop their self-confidence, leadership skills and promote education through the medium of rugby. An impressive $580k was raised to continue the good work. Thanks to Allan for the invite and hospitality. #LCapInUSA #PrivateEquity #ManagementDueDiligence #PreDealAdvisorSourcing Confidas People DRAX Peoplewise

A leadership transition in an AIM-listed energy business is never straightforward. Especially when the business is simultaneously restructuring, scaling production, stabilising the balance sheet, entering new joint ventures, and redefining its long-term strategy. That was the challenge facing Sound Energy. In this testimonial, Graham Lyon BSc. (Eng) Hons, Chair of Sound Energy plc, shares how DRAX supported the search for and appointment of both the CEO, Majid Shafiq, and the CFO, Andrew Matharu, during a critical phase of growth and transformation. What stood out most to us was the clarity around what the business actually needed: • A leadership team capable of taking the company into its next stage of growth • Experience operating inside listed, resource-constrained environments • Leaders who understood both operational delivery and investor pressure • A process that balanced speed, rigour, transparency, and long-term fit Within weeks, an interim CFO solution was in place. Shortly after, a full CEO search process was underway alongside detailed due diligence and team assessment using PACE, a proprietary behavioural evaluation tool designed for leaders and teams in private equity-backed, high-growth businesses. As Graham explains, the goal wasn’t simply to hire strong individuals. It was to build a leadership team that could work effectively together under pressure. Six months on, both appointments remain in place, and Sound Energy has since announced multiple new joint ventures across hydrogen and solar initiatives in Morocco. Thank you to Graham Lyon and the Sound Energy team for the trust throughout the process. We are delighted to announce the launch of Leadership Exchange. Leadership Exchange is a peer community designed for senior HR, People and Talent leaders operating within high-growth and private equity-backed organisations. Last week, Partner of Communities at LCap, Louise Stephenson (Associate CIPD), hosted the Leadership Exchange launch event in the North West at 20 Stories, bringing together over 60 senior HR leaders. The discussion focused on the practical realities of scaling organisations, including leadership alignment, organisational design and the evolving expectations placed on people functions to deliver against growth strategies. The launch also marks the introduction of a dedicated Leadership Exchange community platform and mobile app, providing members with a private environment for ongoing discussion, shared insight and peer-to-peer collaboration. Leadership Exchange has been created as a curated forum for leaders working in environments where the pace, complexity and expectations are distinct. Great to see an idea come to life. Yesterday Louise Stephenson (Associate CIPD) officially launched Leadership Exchange in Manchester at 20 Stories 🙌🏻 bringing together an excellent panel and 70+ senior people leaders to explore: ✨ How HR truly influences at board level What stood out wasn’t theory 💭 it was openness, and honesty. Real conversations about influence, commerciality, challenge, and what’s actually needed in high-growth and PE environments. In-person events are powerful, but then everyone heads back to the day job. You don’t get to meet everyone. Leadership Exchange changes that. It’s a trusted, peer-to-peer tech based community in your pocket 📱 there when you need it, or when you simply want to learn from real HR professionals. A place where HR leaders can: ✅ Be honest ✅ Share what’s really happening ✅ Learn from each other ✅ And ultimately operate more effectively at the level the business needs Looking forward to getting involved and adding value to the community. • Good to see our investor in the room alongside operators. Thanks to Tim Pointer for joining us at the launch of Leadership Exchange in Manchester. Having that perspective in the conversation matters, especially when leadership decisions are so closely tied to value creation. A strong start to what we’re building here.

Terrific Tuesday at 20 Stories Manchester supporting the launch of the The LCap Group-backed #Leadership Exchange. Great experience to be on a panel brought together by Leadership Exchange’s leader Louise Stephenson (Associate CIPD) to kick off this mighty network with over 70 senior leaders exploring how People Strategies drive Business Growth and Performance. We discussed: - Enhancing trust and confidence within the Board - Investor perspectives - Where to focus and what to drop - Commercial levers - What goes wrong and how to recover I loved learning from my fellow panellists: Carolyn Cole MCIPD, Lucion Linda Jodrell, Citation Group Caroline Rayner, Knights and from our smart & passionate audience. I know this will be a successful, trusted and honest space for authentic conversations to live and thrive as it builds momentum in Manchester, Leeds and beyond. If you’re a senior HR Leader wanting to learn, contribute and progress within a commercially focused HR community contact Louise Stephenson (Associate CIPD) to find out more at: exchange@thelcapgroup.com #LeadershipExchange #HRLeadership #PeopleAndCulture #PrivateEquity #BoardLevel #Leadership #HRCommunity #ThreeHills
