🌎 You can hire anywhere. But candidates still want to belong somewhere. Candidates connect better with a localized employer brand, even if they are applying for remote roles at global companies. In fact, talent teams who lean into this can stand out from the crowd and gain an advantage. Here's what to focus on 👇 1️⃣ Show that you're there ↳ You might not have a nearby office, but that shouldn't stop you showing off other local proof points. Team imagery and using culture-driven language is a great way to do this. Canva is a great example of this. Check out how they bring their New Zealand presence to life on their careers site (page 3). 2️⃣ Lean in on employee-generated content ↳ Go where your talent is and start creating content which speaks directly to them. Whether it's day in the life videos or interviews. HubSpot has 'day in the life' videos for many of their most commonly hired for roles, used to show what remote work in their team is like. 3️⃣ Highlight your remote-focused EVP ↳ If you've got a remote-specific employee value proposition, share the benefits in a lot of detail. Not only what remote employees get, but also what they will experience too.
