About us

We are trying to solve a global problem: As Human beings we are spending too much of our energy and the planet’s resources on work that adds no value at all. Our proprietary approach quickly shows that this waste is greater than the value added by a factor of 9:1. This chronic imbalance is making our work inefficient. There is however good news because having learned to see this waste and value clearly the route to improvement becomes both obvious and highly inspiring. There are times in human history when we have upgraded the way we work but this has been limited to some industries, a small number of sectors and many transitory examples. Having become students and then practitioners of these approaches we have seen how to permanently upgrade human working to that of higher levels. Our purpose is to help organisations achieve higher levels of performance and reduce resource consumption by removing waste.

    Here we go again, another national project late! 🚂 There’s a pattern I keep seeing in large business projects: - Timelines slip - Costs overrun - Pressure builds And instead of fixing the root cause, internal processes, ways of working, and decision bottlenecks, the response is often to reduce the value delivered to the customer. - Scope gets trimmed. - Quality gets compromised. - Outcomes get diluted. It’s treated as the “pragmatic” choice. but is it really? A very visible example right now is the HS2 project, where plans are yet again being considered to reduce train speeds by 16% to help manage spiralling costs. The question is: are we solving the problem, or just reshaping it into something customers will feel for decades? This isn’t just about infrastructure. It happens across industries, every day.   • What is the difference between a consultants approach and that of a coach? The role of a consultant is often to review, analyse and recommend, send you the bill then leave you to it. They will not map out the route you have to walk from your current to desired future state. They will tell you your problem(s) and note down the solution they recommend based on their “experience”.
