  • What an inspiring day at Nursery World’s Big Day Out. Our team had brilliant conversations with early years professionals about supporting children’s first steps into reading.🌟📚 We were there to showcase Sounds‑Write in the Early Years: Getting Ready for Reading — training designed for practitioners in early years and nursery settings who want to build the crucial foundations for reading success. It was a real pleasure to connect with so many dedicated practitioners and to share ideas, experiences, and a shared commitment to giving children the strongest possible start.

  • Speech Therapists bring a deep understanding of the mechanics of sound, yet bridging the gap between speech production and proficient reading and spelling can be complex. Join us on 19 May, 1pm (AEST) to explore how Sounds‑Write, a structured linguistic phonics program, supports that connection and why it is proving successful in clinic settings around the world. What to expect: The Sounds-Write framework: An overview of the evidence-based logic that makes this program a "gold standard" for literacy intervention. Clinical efficacy: Why a structured, linguistic approach that goes from speech to print is often the "missing link" for students who struggle with traditional phonics. Interventions Masterclass: Insights into using the program with complex cases and private practice caseloads. Special guest interview: Alison Perry, SLT and experienced Sounds‑Write Trainer, will share insights from her clinical journey and discuss how the approach has transformed her practice. The session will conclude with a Q&A. Register: https://zurl.co/FvQ3C

  • When a practitioner asked about children developing a love of reading with Sounds‑Write, Laila, our Literacy Specialist and Tutor, offered this thoughtful response.👇 "From my experience as a tutor using Sounds-Write, I’ve seen first-hand how children really begin to flourish as they start to understand the concepts, skills, and code knowledge that underpin the alphabetic code. For many, reading can feel confusing or even frustrating at first, but as things begin to “click,” their confidence grows so quickly. That growing confidence is key. When children realise they can read—when they can tackle words independently and make sense of what’s on the page—it often leads to a real sense of pride and enjoyment. I’ve worked with children who were initially reluctant readers, and it’s been wonderful to watch them become more engaged, willing, and even excited about reading as their skills develop. Sounds-Write is based on a conceptual framework and real focus on the phonemic awareness skills, providing students the strong foundation they need. Once they have that, they’re able to access books more easily, and that’s when a genuine love of reading really starts to grow. " A love of reading begins when children feel confident in their ability to read. 📚🧡
