🆕 TODAY Orbital Industries has announced £37m in Series B funding led by Plural with nVentures, Radical Ventures, Compound and Fly Ventures. They've built Orb — an AI engine that simulates the quantum mechanical behaviour of atoms. It can model 100,000 atoms at once, 10x faster than tools from Microsoft and Meta. What used to take a decade of materials discovery can now be done in months. They're pointing it at AI's big problem: Data centres can't keep up with GPU heat and density.
