  • Times Square, New York City isn't usually known for calm. We wanted to change that, even just for a moment. Delighted to share our latest artwork on display there, exploring how we can engage with our emotions more positively, and more beautifully. At Rock Badger, we believe data shouldn't just be tracked. It should be powerfully felt. We're building a tool that transforms personal mental health metrics into immersive, generative art, creating a connection with your self that's compelling, visual, and human.

From a questionnaire to Times Square ! Absolutely delighted to see Rock Badger’s artwork visualising human emotions on display in Times Square, New York City.   During Frieze week, New Yorkers are getting a glimpse into a new way of engaging with mental health. Volunteers responded to a series of questions designed by Mariana, a specialist in behavioural neuroscience and psychology. Each response was then transformed into a unique piece of artwork by the brilliant Santiago Mondjian. The artworks reflect the different seasons of the year as a powerful pictorial representation of the emotional states. The result is a tool that translates personal mental health data into beautiful and immersive art; for a more positive and meaningful connection with our own data.

  • In the Studio with Gabor Papp: How can data become expressive, accessible and beautiful? Working at the intersection of motion, code, and perception, Gabor's practice explores the expressive and beautiful potential of data and real-time technology. “Generative methods can help reveal patterns, structures, and relationships in data that would otherwise remain invisible. They can function as tools for both comprehension and aesthetics." In the studio with is our series where we talk to the leading digital artists, exploring how they are pushing the possibilities of technology. Full interview: https://lnkd.in/e3T-MfPV

We are delighted to share our latest work for Sparks EMEA x WIRED Consulting, 'Connection: 2036'. Working with artists Ølali we turned the insights of global tech leaders on the future of human connection into an immersive artwork for Outernet London. Here, all the reflections become a conversation between the respondents, their visions manifesting over time in a kaleidoscope of colours, shapes and connections. To be able to translate thoughts and emotion into data, and transform it into a beautiful artwork that generated a visceral reaction was powerful. We are pleased to have collaborated with a great team of: Sparks EMEA, Young Creators UK (YCUK) , WIRED Consulting and Pumpkin PR

Really proud to share Rock Badger's latest work, 'Connection: 2036', an artwork created for Sparks x WIRED: The Connection Code. Working with ØLali we transformed the predictions from senior tech leaders on the future of human connection into an immersive artwork. The opportunity to represent the ideas on the future, and turn the data behind them into art, was an important and exciting project to collaborate on. The artwork enables us to feel, see and emotionally connect with information, absorbing the viewer in a kaleidoscope of colours, shapes and feelings. I am so pleased to have collaborated with the fantastic team of: Sparks, Young Creators UK (YCUK) , WIRED Consulting and Pumpkin PR. Thank you Caroline Sparkes for your inspiring vision. Outernet London provided a brilliant space to visualise the individual reflections and the dialogue between respondents. Tonight was the third chapter of the Connection Code, our ongoing collaboration with WIRED, this time at WIRED Health. Connection2036, an AI-generated data installation created with artists Ølali and Rock Badger, brought to life predictions from senior tech leaders about the future of human connection. Seeing those voices rendered as living, breathing artwork at The Outernet was so emotional and hit me hard. And the conversation in the room was so inspiring and positive. What a team: Sparks EMEA Young Creators UK (YCUK) , Rock Badger and WIRED Consulting Pumpkin PR Collaboration like this is why I love doing what I do. We created something really special. When artists successfully translate information into beautiful artwork, it creates a powerful, unique and emotional connection with it. Dan Hoopert's mesmeric work creates exactly this reaction. Through his practice, Dan aims to create a feeling of phenomena through abstract image and sound, blurring the lines between physical and digital. 'A Conversation Between Trees' is a visualisation of the mycorrhizal network of communication present within forest ecosystems. • In the studio with Balkan Karışman: Balkan is a generative artist based in Istanbul. His practice draws from urban textures, glitch aesthetics, and illusion, merging analogue and digital, past and future, real and surreal. Rooted in the belief that everything around us can serve as both muse and instrument, his work often begins with a simple "what if?", tracing hidden connections between the mundane and the surreal. • In the studio with Leon Krykhtin: We spoke with Leon, a brilliant new media artist, architect and AI filmmaker about his innovative and immersive practice. "For me, real-time isn’t a technical specification. It’s a philosophical commitment to art as a living process rather than a fixed artefact." In the studio with is our series were we talk to the leading digital artists, exploring how they are pushing the possibilities of technology. Full interview: https://lnkd.in/eGuAjxVF

  • What if your mental well-being wasn't just an abstract idea, a score on a page, but a living landscape of colour and motion? We are so excited to share that we’ve built a tool that transforms the GHQ-28 [general health and wellbeing questionnaire] into mesmerising, personalised artwork. Our goal isn't to diagnose, it’s to visualise. We want to foster a deeper, more positive connection and engagement with our data through art. The result: a one-of-a-kind digital artwork reflecting your current inner state. We would be thrilled for you to participate to see your personalised artwork based on your score [link to questionnaire in the comments]. See more here: https://lnkd.in/erWy5gwP
