As demand for tokenized assets grows, institutions are increasingly looking to leverage public blockchains while maintaining the sovereignty and control of private networks. Last month, Paradigm published their TradFi Tomorrow: DeFi and the Rise of Extensible Finance report, highlighting the evolution institutional attitudes towards DeFi and tokenization. The report found that: 🟢 86% of TradFi professionals surveyed say their firms are currently involved with blockchain & DLT 🟢 Institutions increasingly see public, permissionless blockchains as vital in fully leveraging the benefits of smart contracts and tokenization 🟢 Asset tokenization is the most common DeFi product or service that organisations are interested in exploring At R3, we believe that public networks offer new opportunities for value creation.
