Stablecoins dominate the headlines. But McKinsey's latest research points to a much larger shift already underway. Major banks are already moving more than $4 trillion annually through tokenised deposit infrastructure. That's an order of magnitude larger than stablecoin payment volumes today, and it's embedded directly into existing institutional payment, liquidity, and treasury workflows. McKinsey's framing is clear, tokenised deposits are money at rest. Treasury balances, interbank settlement, institutional payments at scale. Stablecoins handle speed and accessibility. Tokenised deposits carry the institutional money. The constraint isn't the technology, it's interoperability. Most tokenised deposits sit on proprietary, permissioned blockchains that don't talk to each other, recreating the fragmentation blockchain was supposed to solve. McKinsey flags 2026 as the year this has to be proven. If the right consortiums get interoperability right, tokenised deposit payments stop being a pilot and become infrastructure. This is where Quant is focused. Helping institutions issue, settle, and manage tokenised deposits within the systems they already use, without building parallel infrastructure. What's actually holding estate agencies back from efficient treasury management? Manual processes create idle cash, liquidity blind spots, reconciliation delays, compliance exposure, and partner disputes. Spreadsheets were never built to handle the complexity of modern property finance. Quant Flow delivers real-time visibility, automated rent allocation, structured intercompany movements, compliant deposit management, and automatic tax provisioning. Operators can begin with a single use case and expand as value is demonstrated. The UK is rebuilding the infrastructure of money in real time. This week at City Week, the Bank of England outlined what's actually happening: a digital gilt instrument (the first tokenised sovereign bond from a G7 country), a synchronisation service settling tokenised transactions in central bank money targeting 2028, stablecoin rules landing this year, and 16 firms preparing to go live in the Digital Securities Sandbox. As Sarah Breeden put it, the UK's upgraded RTGS infrastructure is a 'parked Ferrari', and it's now out on a test drive. When every asset is tokenised and every settlement is digital, the question of who is authorised to move value, and under what conditions, becomes foundational. Not a compliance checkbox but the core design question for financial infrastructure. Our approach to interoperability means institutions don't have to bet on a single ledger or wait for the market to consolidate around one standard. The multi-asset, multi-currency ecosystem the Bank describes, with assets moving across DSS platforms, RTGS synchronisation and foreign central bank money, requires a network layer that can connect these systems without forcing them to converge. The institutions that understand what identity and authorisation mean in a tokenised world and build for it now will be the ones that define how it works. Building blockchain applications has always meant rebuilding for every interface, separate work for UIs, services, and AI agents. Flow Applications, part of Overledger, changes that. Build a workflow once. It works natively across human-facing interfaces, backend services, and MCP-compatible AI agents like Claude and Cursor, with no additional configuration required. Every Flow Application automatically inherits authentication, content filtering, payment gates, and per-API-key data isolation from the moment it's registered on the Overledger Gateway. Read more about what Flow Applications make possible in our latest article: https://lnkd.in/ewv76y5e #FlowApplications #Overledger #Blockchain

Collateral management has a hidden cost that most firms underestimate. When assets take days to settle, institutions are forced to over-collateralise to absorb timing gaps and operational uncertainty. That trapped capital is a direct drag on returns. Tokenisation changes the equation. Near-instant transfers, programmable settlement rules, and collateral pools that move freely across jurisdictions mean firms can operate with substantially smaller buffers. The technology is proven. The regulatory frameworks are in place. The challenge now is execution. Discover what that looks like in practice, and what production-ready infrastructure actually requires: https://lnkd.in/eWq_D_Bb #CollateralManagement #Tokenisation #TokenisedCollateral

Hospitality finance breaks in predictable places. Revenue splits calculated at month-end on spreadsheets. Invoices that can't keep up with changing event details. Cash positions that require manual consolidation across a dozen accounts before anyone can see the full picture. Read our latest article where we explore these challenges and what structured automation looks like when it's built around the way hospitality businesses work: https://lnkd.in/ekrvjc9G #HospitalityFinance #FinanceAutomation #QuantFlow
