With the final this weekend looking to be a HUGE match, make sure that your business is licensed correctly to show it! Sports programming uses more music than people realise, like opening and closing titles, highlights and featured sequences as well as the advertisements during commercial breaks. So you'll usually need TheMusicLicence to use the television for showing sports and other programming in public. Visit our website using the link below to make sure that your licences are up to date so you can keep the ball rolling this summer. click here - https://lnkd.in/evG5fZfd #uclfinal #pplprs #tml #themusiclicence #championsleague #championsleaguefinal

PPL PRS and TheMusicLicence – making it easier for businesses to legally play music for their customers and employees
About us
PPL PRS Ltd aims to provide the best music licensing experience in the world by keeping things simple for our customers. We’re here to ensure creators and performers are fairly rewarded for their work. PPL PRS is the joint venture between the UK’s two music licensing societies - PPL and PRS for Music. We’ve joined forces to make it easier for our customers to obtain a music licence for the playing or performance of music in public. Our parent companies have been working in music rights management for decades. PPL represents performers and record companies. PRS for Music is a society of songwriters, composers and music publishers. Both organisations ensure that the creators and performers of music are paid when their music is used in public. Whilst the two parent companies will continue to be based in London, the joint venture based in Leicester - PPL PRS - will deliver all UK public performance licensing, creating a single point of contact for customers and more efficient licensing to support our thousands of members’ rights. You’ll find a collaborative spirit everywhere in our organisation. We are a genuine team, working together, looking out for each other and, most importantly of all, united for music.

Can music really help with burnout? 🤔 Burnout is one of the main causes of anxiety and stress in the workplace, caused by working too hard or doing too much. Last year we completed a study that revealed some very interesting statistics around how prominent burnout is, but also its effects. After speaking with Marianne R., she told us that music in the workplace can help prevent workplace burnout by encouraging people to seek help and be more open. Interesting, eh? If you fancy learning a bit more about how music helps prevent workplace burnout, as well as real examples from business owners, click here – https://lnkd.in/eqzSn2nK #WorkplaceWellbeing #BurnoutPrevention #MentalHealthAtWork #MusicInTheWorkplace #EmployeeWellbeing #themusiclicence #pplprs

From Chaos to Calm 🌊 Everyday conversations often make the biggest difference. Leadership Coach, Debbie Green tells us what conversations can help managers foster calm and focus in busy times within their teams. You don’t need to fix everything; creating space and listening with curiosity allows others to think and feel valued. Here are some ways you can check in with your team to make sure they feel supported: 1. Checking In: How Are You Arriving? Use these questions to open conversations gently and humanly. • “How are you arriving today — what’s got most of your headspace right now?” • “On a scale of calm to stretched, where are you today?” • “What would help today feel a little lighter?” 2. Reducing Overwhelm & Noise Help your team member narrow focus and reduce pressure. • “What feels most noisy or distracting for you at the moment?” • “What’s the one thing that would make the biggest difference this week?” • “What can safely wait, pause or be simplified right now?” 3. Creating Support & Clarity Shift from assumption to understanding. • “What support would be most useful from me right now?” • “Where do you feel clear — and where do you feel stuck?” • “What do you need more of… or less of?” 4. Grounding & Energy Reconnect people with what helps them work well. • “When you’re at your best here, what’s usually in place?” • “What helps you reset when things feel full-on?” • “What’s one thing you can do this week to protect your energy?” 5. Closing with Calm & Confidence End conversations with reassurance and momentum. • “What’s one small win we should notice before we finish?” • “What would ‘good enough’ look like for now?” • “What would help you leave this conversation feeling clearer or calmer?” Click the link below to hear more from Debbie about how to foster a culture of calm in the workplace, and how music can help. https://lnkd.in/ejXJBqTD #themusiclicence #pplprs #music #leadership #ChaosToCalm

Yesterday we got a visit from the incredible Mark Wood who gave an inspiring talk to our people. ❄️ A couple of years ago we were honoured to work with Mark on his expedition, providing music to help get him through some gruelling days on the ice. While that journey unfortunately didn't go to plan, Mark told us all about how he came back, regrouped and is now ready to get back out there. We can't wait to see what Mark has planned over the next few months! #themusiclicence #pplprs #music #MarkWoodExplorer
So This afternoon I’m heading to Leicester to deliver a talk for the incredibly talented creative team at music licensing company PPL PRS Ltd. Two years ago, they were one of only a handful of organisations that supported my short-lived SOLO 100 expedition (https://lnkd.in/eKtw_mSZ) in the Canadian High Arctic. Beyond much-needed funding, the people there took the time to load music onto iPods for my 100 days alone on the ice—something that meant more than I can properly express. The expedition was cut horrendously short. It remains the greatest disappointment of my exploration career. I made the decision to abort due to vast, impassable open water—one that still circles in my mind from time to time. After returning to the UK, I sat down with the scientists, filmmakers, and educators involved to openly and honestly debrief what happened. I can’t say too much just yet, but two years on, we are rebuilding the purpose and potential of the expedition. What’s emerging is something I believe will be even more meaningful—a new journey, planned for 2027. Today is about gratitude. Saying thank you to a remarkable organisation—and sharing why I’m heading back to the ice. talks contact; amanda@amandastacey.co.uk #gratitude #SOLO100expedition #MarkWoodExplorer #PPLPRSLtd
