DIT Services is now Pixel & Process. Since opening our facility in Cardiff Bay in 2021 we’ve been on a brilliant journey, launching our dailies service and watching that side of the business grow into our main focus. Along the way, we’ve had the pleasure of providing digital dailies and lab services for some fantastic films and TV shows. Our aim has always been to offer a bespoke, comprehensive dailies service. With a level of workflow support and attention to detail typically found in larger facilities, built here in Cardiff. From workflow design and custom colour pipelines, to in-house dailies colourists and a precise, production focused approach, everything we do is tailored to the needs of each show. We’ll continue to provide DIT equipment and on-set services exactly as we always have. But as our work has evolved, it felt right for our brand and identity to evolve with it. Pixel & Process reflects where we are now, and where we’re heading.

For generations, The Famous Five have lived in the imaginations of children and adults alike, that first spark of adventure that made the world feel bigger and more mysterious. What joy it was to be invited back into that world, helping to bring two new adventures to life for a new generation. The two 90-minute films were produced for the BBC by @moonagepictures Created by Nicolas Winding Refn and Matthew Read, the scripts brilliantly stayed true to the spirit of Enid Blyton while feeling fresh and contemporary. Providing DIT Services, Equipment & Workflow across both films, we worked closely with the fantastic cinematographers to support two entirely different visual approaches. With Ewan Mulligan as Director of Photography on Mystery at the Prospect Hotel, and Big Trouble on Billycock Hill shot by Caroline Bridges, the creative contrast ensured each film responded to the tone of its story and arrived at a distinct look that served the narrative. Helping both films find their own visual language, while ensuring consistency, reliability, and creative confidence from set through post, was a genuinely enjoyable challenge. Both films are now streaming on BBC iPlayer, perfect for discovering the adventures together.
