  • As British LGBTQ+ History Month draws to a close we are reflecting on the importance of recognising the progress made for queer rights in the UK. At Pinnacle, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and their lived experiences, the history, and the progress still being fought for. In a working context, that means taking inclusion seriously, listening carefully, and being intentional about the environments we help to shape. Our role is often practical, helping clients translate values into deliverable commitments, strengthening the evidence underpinning DEI narratives in bid responses, using respectful, inclusive language that reflects the communities they serve. #LGBTQ+ #DEI #SocialValue #PinnacleBidsandTenders

  • James Cadman, our Managing Director, is looking forward to heading to Leeds this Thursday for the Supply Chain Summit 2026 - a key date for anyone working in bidding, procurement and commercial strategy. Hosted by Leeds University Business School and the Institute for Collaborative Working (ICW), this flagship event marks the official launch of the ICW Collaboration Playbook, aligned with the Public Procurement Act 2023 and industry best practice. As organisations adapt to changes in legislation, structured collaboration is becoming a vital capability for bidders, suppliers and contracting authorities alike. The agenda covers some of the biggest challenges shaping the future of competitive procurement, including: • how collaboration strengthens value delivery across complex supply chains • lessons from major UK infrastructure programmes on embedding social value • improving SME and VCSE participation through more accessible, partnership‑driven models • how the new Playbook aligns with the Procurement Act and supports complex, innovative procurements • insights from Leeds University Business School and the launch of TOSCA, supporting evidence-based supply chain practice James is looking forward to hearing practical perspectives on what “good” collaboration looks like and contributing to the ongoing conversation about how stronger relationships can unlock better bids and better results. If you’re attending, do let us know; it would be great to catch up. #SupplyChainSummit #Collaboration #PublicProcurement #SupplyChainManagement

  • Framework renewals are rarely lost on writing quality alone. They are lost when organisations arrive at the start line without a clear evidence base, a coherent story, or the capacity to respond at pace. If you have a renewal on the horizon, strong preparation typically starts 6–12 months out, and focuses on building the materials that make your submission credible and easy to score: Evidence that stands up to scrutiny: KPIs, outcomes, client feedback, audits, continuous improvement, and lessons learned Bid-ready governance: up-to-date policies, assurance, training records, and clear accountability for ESG, DEI, and risk A sharper value proposition: what you do differently, why it matters to the buyer, and proof points that back it up Delivery and mobilisation clarity: who does what, when, how you manage supply chain, and how you assure quality A usable bid library: case studies, CVs, methodology, and answers to recurring framework questions At Pinnacle, we support organisations to plan renewal activity, strengthen evidence, shape winning narratives, and deliver high-quality framework submissions under pressure. If you are preparing for a framework renewal or want a second pair of eyes on your approach, drop us a message or get in touch with James Cadman (james@pinnaclebidsandtenders.co.uk) #Frameworks #Tendering #BidWriting #PinnacleBidsandTenders

  • 🚄 Northern Powerhouse Rail: A Transformational Moment for the North West The government’s recent announcement on Northern Powerhouse Rail (NPR) marks the most significant upgrade to northern connectivity in a generation, with faster and more frequent rail links set to better connect Liverpool, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, York and beyond. This forms a central pillar of the new Northern Growth Strategy, focused on boosting jobs, productivity and investment across the region. Among the strongest supporters of the programme is Ken O’Toole, CEO of MAG (Airports Group), who welcomed the plans as “a long overdue step towards the creation of a highly productive and internationally competitive Northern growth corridor.” He emphasised that placing Manchester Airport at the heart of a full NPR network will give people and businesses “the direct access they deserve to the world,” helping high‑value industries attract investment and talent and enabling the region to maximise its contribution to national growth. The announcement confirms a new NPR station at the airport, unlocking the full capacity of its existing two full‑length runways — capacity already available today. This will complement MAG’s £1.3bn airport transformation so the North fully benefits from a modern, globally connected transport hub. For SMEs and specialist suppliers across transport, engineering, digital systems, environmental services and professional consultancy, NPR represents a major forward pipeline of tender opportunities. From early design and station works to rail systems, integration, skills and community benefits delivery, the scale of procurement will be substantial. With delivery planning now accelerating, the next few months will shape how businesses across the North can participate in this once‑in‑a‑generation investment. Please contact James Cadman, our Managing Director, to discuss how we can help you capitalise on these opportunities. #NorthernPowerhouseRail #NorthWest #ManchesterAirport #Infrastructure #TenderOpportunities #EconomicGrowth #PublicSectorProcurement

  • Building the Neighbourhood NHS: Preparing for Community-Based Infrastructure Tenders The shift from hospital-based care to neighbourhood-level services is now a national strategy. The Autumn Budget confirmed plans for 250 neighbourhood health centres, including 120 to be operational by 2030. This represents a major pipeline of capital and service procurement focused on integrated, place-based care. The government's 10-Year Health Plan outlines a transition toward community-focused models, particularly in areas with low life expectancy and unmet health needs. This is part of a wider health inequality strategy and a redefinition of how and where care is accessed. Expected procurement areas include: • construction and refurbishment of local health centres • co-location and fit-out for multi-disciplinary teams • digital systems for integrated care pathways • extended-hours services and diagnostic equipment. As noted by industry leaders during Kajima Partnerships Limited's recent roundtable, investor confidence depends on a clearly defined pipeline and early-stage project development. That means tenders will favour suppliers who can demonstrate preparedness, value for money and community benefit. Pinnacle supports clients in preparing competitive, insight-driven bids that reflect both local needs and national health objectives. Please contact James Cadman, our Managing Director, to find out how we can support you. #NeighbourhoodCare #PinnacleBidsandTenders #SocialValue #CommunityHealth

  • A Diagnostics Revolution: The NHS Investment Strategy and the Procurement Opportunities Ahead A significant portion of the NHS capital budget is being directed toward expanding diagnostic capacity. With the aim of delivering faster diagnoses, reducing waiting lists, and improving health outcomes, the NHS is reshaping how and where diagnostic services are delivered. Procurement priorities include: Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) across local areas Mobile and rapid diagnostic hubs in neighbourhood settings MRI, CT, and ultrasound equipment upgrades Modernisation of pathology networks and integration platforms These developments form part of the £44 billion capital investment programme running to 2029/30, with a dedicated stream for diagnostics infrastructure. Implications for suppliers: There will be strong demand for equipment providers, digital health platforms, and service integration specialists. The emphasis will be on interoperability, speed, and accessibility. At Pinnacle, we help clients shape tailored, evidence-led bids that showcase clinical benefit, technical capability, and strategic alignment with the diagnostics agenda. • Capital Planning Meets Net Zero: What NHS Sustainability Goals Mean for Bidders Sustainability is not simply a goal for the future. It is embedded into the capital strategy of the NHS and is already influencing procurement criteria across the board. The NHS has mandated that all procurements include a minimum 10 percent weighting for net zero and social value outcomes. That requirement applies to an estimated £35 billion of spend. Capital investment priorities now include: Retrofitting existing estates to reduce emissions Replacing gas boilers with low-carbon alternatives Heat pumps, insulation, and LED lighting upgrades Sustainable materials and circular economy approaches This shift demands not only technical compliance, but also narrative clarity around environmental value, carbon reduction, and supply chain sustainability. Who needs to prepare? Energy contractors, decarbonisation specialists, sustainable construction firms, and carbon accounting consultants will all need to articulate their contributions to NHS Net Zero goals. Pinnacle works with clients to translate ESG commitments into high-scoring responses, bridging the gap between policy alignment and tender success. Please contact James Cadman, our Managing Director, to find out how we can support you. #Sustainability #NetZero #Decarbonisation #GreenInfrastructure #ESG
