    AI skills are better than Botox, they genuinely takes years off you. Obviously I’m joking…..but: AI literacy is the only thing right now that can offset ageism. That’s my view, for what it’s worth. Rock up to an interview and talk about how you’ve embraced AI. Articulate the use cases. Show how your productivity has gone through the roof. Watch the age in the room disappear. Why? Because you bust the myths in the first ten minutes: Older people can’t adapt. Older people can’t learn new skills. Older people are afraid of new tech. Older people aren’t relevant. Gone. All of it. This is the moment GenX+ can offset ageism with tech. A rather wonderful opportunity, if you decide to make the most of it. And for all the hype, it’s actually dead easy. Start by learning how to automate the repetitive stuff in your workflow. Learn how to prompt properly. Set up Gems, Custom GPTs, and Projects with complex instructions. Get to grips with tooling and integrations. Vibe code your way into proper efficiency. If you’re in a role AI is actively reshaping, like Software Engineering, QA, Testing, get learning now. I saw an agentic AI software factory this week. Your world is about to change, and fast.     The EU AI Act is now law. Article 4 places a direct obligation on organisations to ensure that anyone using, supervising, or making decisions about AI systems has sufficient AI literacy. That is not an IT requirement. It applies to your board, your managers, and your governance leads. For high-risk AI systems, the compliance deadline is 2 August 2026. Penalties reach €35 million or 7% of global revenue. Most organisations are not ready. Many do not yet know what ready looks like.     Some days you just have to stop and say thank you. This morning, a face-to-face with a training provider who wants Peak Intelligence to help them deploy AI for Leaders and funded AI apprenticeship training across their customer base. This afternoon, a face-to-face with an MSP looking to roll out AI adoption and literacy training, plus leadership AI workshops, to their 109 customers. Two partners. One day.
