  • One of the most common questions we get: "What do I actually need to verify my identity for Companies House?" Here's the short answer. You will need: → A valid passport → Proof of your UK residential address (utility bill, bank statement, etc.) → A smartphone or device with a decent camera That's it. The identity capture itself takes around 2 minutes. You upload a picture of your passport, take a selfie, and confirm your address. RapidVerify handles the submission to Companies House from there.     Yesterday felt like one of those moments where the UK’s digital future takes a tiny but meaningful breath. ADVP, techUK, and the DVS providers sat down with Government, and Rt Hon Darren Jones MP made something refreshingly clear: the slate is clean. No decisions made. No path locked in. A full consultation will open in the new year — with one simple aim: find what truly works best for the country. What stood out was the government’s focus on strengthening public services. They see digital identity credentials not as a shiny gadget, but as a foundational tool for making the state work better — faster delivery, lower costs, better outcomes for people who just want things to work.   The Digital Identity & Attributes Trust Framework — now the DVS Trust Framework — had its moment in the spotlight. DVS Suppliers around the table shared how uniquely the UK has approached this compared with other markets, and how much innovation is already humming beneath the surface.   And here’s where ADVP leans in: our position is to stay cautiously optimistic, nudging the conversation forward, keeping the dialogue open, and making sure the next phase of digital identity serves everyone — boosting productivity, unlocking smarter public services, and creating a system that feels fair and human.   More meetings will follow in the new year. Government wants concrete use cases, real-world wins, and ideas that move the needle.   • New research from Burbank Software & YouGov, reported by InternetRetailing, highlights a critical issue we see across digital journeys: trust is now one of the biggest determinants of conversion. 💬 “Over 50% of UK consumers have abandoned an online purchase due to security concerns.” 💬 “Nearly 60% refuse to pay on sites they do not recognise.” 💬 “52% find step-heavy ID checks irritating or confusing.” This isn’t about consumers rejecting security. It’s about consumers rejecting security that feels disconnected from the experience.
