Want to show up this Transgender Day of Visibility? Repost this post to show your support! We caught up with the inspirational Emma Cusdin (She/Her/Hers), Founder and Director of Global Butterflies, to reflect on what Trans Day of Visibility really means to her. For Emma, TDOV is about visibility - showing the world that trans and nonbinary people exist, belong, and can thrive. It’s also a moment to be honest about the growing challenges facing the community, as hardwon rights are increasingly challenged around the world. As Emma reminds us – “lets choose courage, compassion and action”. Swipe to read more. #TransDayOfVisibility #RaisingTheBar #LGBTGreat

When I started my career as a Trainee Equity Analyst at the Pru, I had a desk, a pad of paper and a Casio calculator. My first company note – a BUY recommendation for a funeral director – had to go down to a typing pool . 40 years later the tech is a little different but the people are the same – and people are what has made my time in investments so rewarding. Now, after 20 years at HSBC and 5 as CEO for HSBC Alternatives, I’m finally retiring from asset management. For all my friends in the asset management world, it has been an amazing time – I’ve learned so much and have really enjoyed the collaboration in and out of HSBC Asset Management with organisations like CFA UK, The Investment Association, LGBT Great and of course, Inclusion in Finance (Formerly Diversity Project). From the end of March I will still be found on LinkedIn but I’m now diving into the world of Geology as a student at Birkbeck, University of London - feel free to keep in touch and definitely let me know if you see any good rocks on your travels.
