About us
If you remember only one thing about us, it's Be Distinctive Everywhere. Since 1990, we’ve helped brands be who they are, only more so. Because as it turns out: being yourself is a superpower. From strategies that reclaim crowns, raise curtains, and innovate the internet; to iconic identities with more swagger, more flame-grilled deliciousness, more going-and-getting… It’s all done with people who are supremely talented. But more importantly, done with people you want to hang with. If that’s the kind of brand you want to own. Or the type of work you want to make. We’re your people. Yahoo is the original guide to the World Wide Web. The purple pioneer. The first tab that started it all. Three decades later it’s still going strong, with roughly 90% of the U.S. internet population visiting Yahoo each month*. But it was ready for a refreshed look and feel. Not a reinvention. A reintroduction. We turned back the clock (and cranked up the color) to rediscover what made Yahoo an OG: the ethos, the voice, the energy. Then we set out on a brand refresh. With newly renovated products and features, we added a revitalized brand experience to make Yahoo more helpful, more unconventional, and more relevant than ever. All served with vintage flair and modern flex. Something you can see, feel, and experience like never before. Still Yahoo. Now more Yahoo than ever. *Source: Comscore Media Metrix ® Multi-Platform, TDP Total Unique Visitors/Viewers inclusive of Social Incremental, and % Reach, Top 100 properties, Average Oct-2024 to Sep-2025, U.S.)

Our Sparks are ready to fly ✨ In December, three brilliant Sparks completed their 16-week internship at JKR. Over the next few days, they’ll share their experiences and showcase the amazing work they’ve created. A huge congratulations to our 2025 Sparks 🚀 Next up, meet Akosua!
If you told me at the start of my final year at the University of Birmingham that I’d be graduating and immediately starting a 16-week internship at a global creative agency, I’m not sure I would have believed you. For a long time, breaking into this industry without a traditional design degree felt impossible. That’s when the Sparks Programme at Jones Knowles Ritchie opened a door I didn't think was available to me. It gave me the chance to prove that a different background is a strength, not a barrier. These past 16 weeks have been a whirlwind of growth. I’ve been immersed in everything from branding and typography to the world of UX/UI, motion and 3D design, experiencing exactly what it takes to thrive in a fast-paced, award-winning studio. A personal highlight was collaborating with my fellow interns (Jahiem Williams & Dimitri Briks) on a brief to connect Gen Z with Knorr, which is an experience that pushed my creativity and empowered me to trust my own creative voice. My biggest takeaway? The creative industry is definitely where I’m meant to be. This experience proved that the impossible is actually possible when you have a community that believes in you and encourages you along the way. I’m walking away not just with new skills, but with the certainty that I am, and have always been, a Creative. A massive thank you to my wonderful mentors, Alice Cave, Sophie Lawrence and Maria Vidal, for your unwavering support. I also want to thank the many others across the studio who shared their time and expertise with me. I am so incredibly grateful to the entire JKR team for giving me this opportunity and an experience I’ll never forget. I’m so excited for what’s next! I’m eager to keep growing and learning from all of you in the wider creative world, and I’m looking forward to building new connections across the industry. Please feel free to reach out and connect!
