🚨 🌎 NEW REPORT: The Global Tech Ecosystem Index 2026
Today we're releasing our most detailed benchmarking yet of the world's tech ecosystems — 325 cities across 77 countries, ranked on investment, innovation, talent, and outcomes.
The Index looks at the world through three lenses:
🏆 Global Champions — the Scale Lens. The world's largest and most successful tech ecosystems, identified by VC investment, enterprise value, ecosystem momentum, unicorns and university linkages.
💎 Density Leaders — the Per Capita Lens. The world's densest tech ecosystems, where output is highest relative to population size.
⭐ Rising Stars — the Growth Lens. The fastest-growing, emerging tech ecosystems, identified by growth in enterprise value and unicorns, adjusted for local GDP per capita and cost of living.
A few headlines from this year's data:
• Bay Area, NYC, Boston and London still lead the Global Champions; Austin climbs to #6
• Cambridge UK holds #3 among Density Leaders; Ghent breaks into the top 10
• Mumbai leads the Rising Stars, followed by Hefei
Plus sector deep dives into AI and Deep Tech, and a live dashboard to benchmark any city against any other.
