This was more than a performance. It was a story we could deeply relate to. A heartfelt thank you to Fuel Theatre and Todun Iluyomade for giving our community the opportunity to attend An Evening with an Immigrant at the Southbank Centre. As people with lived experience of migration, we recognised so many of the emotions shared on stage: the uncertainty of visa status, the pain of leaving behind family, friends and community, and the quiet everyday battles that many people face while trying to rebuild their lives from scratch in a new country. Fuel is proud to present its first radio production for BBC Radio 4: FLIP! - a new radio adaptation of the acclaimed stage play by Racheal Ofori, directed by Milli Bhatia. Airing on 14 May 2026 at 2.15pm, this adaptation reimagines the original play for audio, building on its earlier success following co-commission with Soho Theatre. Recorded at the Soundhouse, the production features an exceptional cast including Cassie Clare, Ronkẹ Adékọluẹ́jọ́, Tia Bannon, Pearl Mackie and Diana Yekinni. FLIP! is a bold and timely satire exploring authenticity, influence, and the power of algorithms in shaping contemporary identity - now reaching audiences in a new way through radio. #Fuel #RachelOfori #BBCRadio4

We’re pleased to announce that Nowhere will be presented at RISING Melbourne from 2-6 June. “Welcome to Nowhere. I’m going to share with you how I got here - and what ‘here’ actually means to me.” In this intricate and playful solo work, actor and activist Khalid Abdalla (Mnemonic, United 93, The Kite Runner, The Crown) traces a deeply personal journey shaped by his involvement in the Egyptian revolution of 2011 and his experience of the counter-revolution that followed. Mapping personal history against a backdrop of seismic global events, Nowhere explores colonialism and decolonisation, friendship and loss, protests and uprisings across the world, and the violence in Gaza following the events of October 7th 2023. The work brings the personal and political together in an act of “anti-biography” that asks how we arrived at this moment - and how we can find agency within the mazes of history. RISING subscriber presale: On sale now (20% off select shows) General sale: Monday 16 March, 12pm Tickets available here: https://lnkd.in/e7ZcfY8m 📸 Helen Murray
