Black Friday prep starts now 👀 It might feel early, but if Black Friday is a big trading period for your stores, the digital side of your campaign needs thinking about well before November. Because there’s more to prepare than the offer itself. → Are your screens ready? → Is your content planned for the displays it’ll be shown on? → Can promotions and pricing be changed quickly if something sells out? → Can you update multiple stores at once? → And if something goes wrong on one of the busiest weekends of the year, who’s fixing it? Black Friday moves quickly. Your digital setup needs to be able to do the same. That could mean dynamic content that changes throughout the day, Digital Shelf Edge for quicker pricing and promotional updates, or simply making sure your existing screens and CMS are ready for increased demand. Planning your Black Friday activity now? Send us a message and we can help with everything from the screens and content to installation and ongoing support. 💬

Q4 is only a few weeks away, and for retail, that means some of the busiest months of the year are coming. More campaigns, more promotions, more customers, and a lot more pressure on your digital screens. So now is a good time to check: → Are all your screens working as they should? → Can content be updated quickly across every location? → Is your CMS ready to handle frequent campaign changes? → Is your content designed for increased footfall and shorter stopping times? → Do you have support in place if something goes wrong during peak times? → Can you measure what customers are engaging with? These aren't things you want to discover aren't working halfway through Black Friday weekend. A few checks now can save a lot of headaches later. If Q4 is going to be a big one for your business, make sure your screens, content and systems are ready for it. Need help getting your digital estate ready? Send us a message and we can talk through what needs checking before peak season begins 💬

Autumn/winter is when retail starts moving FAST. New season launches, Halloween, Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day. Promotions change, stock moves quickly and pricing can need updating at short notice. This is exactly where Digital Shelf Edge comes into its own. Instead of constantly printing, replacing and checking signage across your stores, you can: (1) Update pricing quickly: Make changes across displays without waiting for new tickets to be printed and replaced. (2) Switch promotions as they change: Move from one campaign to the next without starting again with your signage. (3) Keep stores consistent: Make sure customers are seeing the right pricing and messaging across different locations. (4) Reduce unnecessary print waste: Particularly useful during a season where campaigns and offers can change constantly. With the busiest months of the retail calendar ahead, having the flexibility to change what customers see quickly can make a huge difference. Looking at Digital Shelf Edge for your stores? Send us a message and we can talk you through how it could work for your setup 💬

3 ways we'd make a Halloween retail activation interactive 🎃 Halloween might still be a couple of months away, but if you’re planning an in-store activation, now is the time to start thinking about it. The best interactive experiences need time to plan, create, test and install properly. So, instead of another spooky window display, here are three ways we'd make Halloween a little more interactive: (1) Motion-triggered content Someone approaches the display and something happens - a character appears, the screen changes, a hidden message is revealed. Using motion or proximity sensors, you can create unexpected moments that make people stop and see what happens next. (2) A branded Halloween game A quick game, challenge or competition can turn a screen into an experience - with prizes, discount codes or giveaways giving people another reason to take part. (3) Let their phone take control With Contactless Control, shoppers can scan a QR code and use their own phone to control what's happening on the screen. Choose what happens next, play a game, unlock content or enter a competition. No app or download needed. And it’s not only about making the activation more fun. Interactions can be tracked too, giving you useful data on how people actually engaged. If Halloween is part of your autumn campaign plans, now’s a pretty good time to start talking about what you could create. 🎃 Send us a message and we can walk you through the options.

It might be August, but if you're planning a Christmas campaign, now's the time to start. The best festive retail experiences aren't put together in November. By then, store fit-outs are underway, creative is being signed off, hardware has been ordered and installation schedules are filling up. Whether it's: 🎄 Digital window displays 🛍️ Interactive Christmas campaigns 📺 In-store promotional screens 🎮 Gamified activations ✨ Large-format LED displays The projects that make the biggest impact are the ones that are planned early. Christmas might feel a long way off. But for retailers, airports and shopping destinations, the countdown has already started. 💬 If Christmas is on your roadmap, now's a good time to start the conversation. Send us a message today.

Think about this statistic for a second 🧠 You could have an incredible product, but if the experience around it doesn't match, customers notice. For retailers, that experience starts long before someone gets to the checkout. It starts the moment they walk past your store, and it’s the screens that catch their attention. The content helps them discover a product, the interactive experiences encourage them to stop, explore and engage and the technology makes shopping feel seamless rather than frustrating. At Blynk, we help brands create digital experiences that enhance the customer journey - not because technology is the goal, but because a better experience leads to better outcomes for both customers and businesses. 💬 If you're thinking about how digital could improve the experience in your stores or spaces, send us a message. We'd love to talk through the possibilities.

What happens when you let shoppers control your screens with their own phone? They stop, engage and stay longer. Most retail screens are passive. People glance at them for a second or two before moving on. Contactless Control changes that. A shopper scans a QR code and, within seconds, their phone becomes the remote. From there they can: 📱 Browse products 🎥 Trigger videos 🎮 Play branded games 🎁 Unlock offers or rewards The experience changes from watching to actively taking part- and when people interact, they spend more time with your brand. Instead of asking people to look up from their phones… Why not use the phone already in their hand? Send us a message to learn more about how this could work for you…

We need to talk about the "dead screen" at the front of your flagship store. You know the one… it’s switched on and playing content, but no-one’s looking at it. A screen should be one of the hardest-working parts of your store. It should stop people in their tracks, introduce your brand, showcase your product and encourage customers to step inside. The problem usually isn't the hardware. It's the content, the strategy, or simply that it wasn’t designed for the space it's in. A few questions worth asking: (1) Does it grab attention within the first few seconds? (2) Is it helping customers discover products? (3) Is the content updated regularly? (4) Can you measure whether it's working? If the answer is no, you've got a screen that's taking up space instead of creating value. And for a flagship store, that's a missed opportunity. 💬 If you're not sure whether your digital screens are doing their job, send us a message. We'd be happy to take a look.

Proud to have played our part in the newly completed Bill's Restaurant at Heathrow Terminal 2. ✈️ For this project, Blynk delivered the digital screens and audio installation, helping create an environment that's engaging for customers and built to perform in one of the UK's busiest airports. Working in a live airport environment is never straightforward. Every installation requires careful planning and execution to ensure everything is delivered safely, with minimal disruption to passengers and operations. A huge thank you to WT Croydon and everyone involved in bringing this fantastic project to life. It's always great to be part of projects where so many specialist teams come together to deliver something special. We're looking forward to seeing travellers enjoy the new space!
WT Croydon are delighted to have provided Project Management services on the delivery of the newly completed Bill's Restaurant at London’s Heathrow Terminal 2. WT’s Grant Lednor, worked alongside a great team. Thank you to the Bill's Restaurants for their collaboration on the project and to everyone involved in bringing this project to life. Catering Projects Ltd, Boston Interiors Ltd, Blynk, Edmont Ltd., Thornton-Firkin LLP, HMSHost and Four Seasons. The inviting and comfortable new restaurant space is now open in one of the UK's busiest airports and is designed to perform in a fast-paced airport environment. Extensive tables and seating, with a generous bar and practical commercial kitchen installed behind the scenes. The project was carried out while the airport was fully open which entailed all the special considerations that go along with that in an busy public environment. It was not a standard fit-out requiring extra detailed planning, careful logistics and security requirements front and centre from beginning to end. As a consequent of this care and attention to detail the project kept moving forward to completion smoothly. #HMSHost #AirportProject #ResturantDesign #Heathrow #WTCroydon #WTPartnership
