A UK first for hazardous locations certification We’re proud to announce a major milestone for Element and for UK testing capability. Our Skelmersdale laboratory has been officially recognised by the U.S. government as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL) for Hazardous Locations – the first and only UK‑based lab authorised to test and issue U.S. certification directly from the UK. 8 March is International Women’s Day, a global day celebrated by organisations, communities, and individuals around the world. This year’s theme, #GiveToGain, encourages us to support gender equality through everyday actions. When we give support, opportunity, advocacy, and recognition, we help create workplaces and communities where women can thrive. Ahead of the day, we ran a series of webinars last week to highlight the importance of allyship, and reflecting on the small actions we can all take to support gender equality and inclusion.  And this week we are running a panel with three of our colleagues focused on Give to Gain. This is a key moment in Element’s road to becoming the UK’s leading provider of Testing, Inspection, Certification and Digital Modelling to the defence industry and direct to the Ministry of Defence. We’re pleased to share that Element Materials Technology has been appointed as a testing partner to BAE Systems Hägglunds, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of combat vehicles and tracked all‑terrain vehicles. Under this new agreement, Element’s Swedish operations in Linköping will provide a range of materials testing services, supporting programmes including CV90 and BvS10 vehicles used by the Swedish Armed Forces and defence forces worldwide.
