Over the last few years, while building DyslexiaWrite and speaking to dyslexic and neurodiverse users, I kept hearing the same thing: “I’m exhausted.” Not because people lacked intelligence. But because everyday tasks often carry a hidden mental load that most people never see. Reading long emails. Writing reports. Starting documents. Remembering instructions. Managing overwhelm. Trying to keep up in systems that were never designed for the way many neurodiverse minds work. That’s why I wrote my new book: 📘 The Dyslexic AI Toolkit – Simple AI Strategies for Dyslexic and Neurodiverse Minds This book isn’t about becoming an AI expert. It’s about using AI as a practical support tool to help people: ✅ Simplify difficult reading ✅ Write emails and documents with more confidence ✅ Break down instructions into manageable steps ✅ Reduce cognitive overload ✅ Learn more effectively ✅ Organise thoughts and tasks ✅ Build low-stress workflows ✅ Work with their brain rather than against it Most importantly, I wanted readers to finish this book feeling: “Maybe I was never the problem.” Because support, accessibility and reducing unnecessary struggle matters. #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #AI #Accessibility #DyslexiaSupport #Neurodiverse #ADHD #AssistiveTechnology #InclusiveDesign #CognitiveLoad #ArtificialIntelligence #WorkplaceInclusion #AccessibilityMatters #DyslexiaAwareness #EdTech

🧠 Dyslexia doesn’t magically disappear when school ends. A recent discussion highlighted something important: 👉 We still talk about dyslexia mostly as a school issue… …but many adults are navigating: 📧 emails 📝 reports 🎧 meetings 🧠 working memory challenges every single day at work. (LBC) That’s one reason I’ve been building DyslexiaWrite beyond writing support. It now includes: ✔ Meeting Survival Kit ✔ Memory Reader ✔ Lesson Capture ✔ Chrome extension email support ✔ Reading support and guided stories Because support shouldn’t stop at education. It should grow with people. What workplace challenge do you wish had better support?

📚 What if reading support started before a child got stuck? I’ve been building something new into DyslexiaWrite… ✨ Story Time A guided reading experience designed to help younger children — especially those with dyslexia and reading difficulties — build confidence while they read. Because reading isn’t just about seeing words. It’s about: 🧠 understanding them 📖 remembering them 💬 feeling confident enough to keep going With Story Time children can: 🏴☠️ Create their own stories with AI (Pirates, Space, Animals, Magic and more) 📚 Get “warm-up words” before reading starts 🔊 Hear stories read aloud 💡 Tap difficult words for meanings, pronunciation help and syllables 👁 Choose supported, guided or clean reading modes 🌟 Build confidence instead of frustration Imagine starting a story already knowing: “What this word means…” “How to say it…” “What to listen out for…” That small change can make a huge difference. My goal with DyslexiaWrite has never been to build “another AI tool”. It’s to build support that understands how people learn. And hopefully make reading feel a little less scary — and a lot more enjoyable ❤️ I’d love feedback from parents, teachers and SEND professionals 👇 👉 Would something like this have helped your child or students? 🌐 https://lnkd.in/efyYMVwA #Dyslexia #ReadingSupport #SEND #EdTech #InclusiveEducation #Neurodiversity #AssistiveTechnology #DyslexiaSupport #ReadingConfidence #LearningSupport #PrimaryEducation

After months of writing, refining, and thinking deeply about cognitive overload, accessibility, and neurodiversity… I’m excited to share my new book: 📘 The Dyslexic AI Toolkit Simple AI Strategies for Dyslexic and Neurodiverse Minds This book was written for people who often feel mentally exhausted by: long emails complicated documents writing tasks organisation learning overload everyday cognitive pressure Not because they lack intelligence… …but because many systems were never designed for the way neurodiverse brains process information. Inside the book, I explore how AI can help reduce cognitive overload by supporting: ✅ reading and comprehension ✅ writing confidence ✅ organisation and planning ✅ memory and revision ✅ learning complex topics ✅ reducing overwhelm in everyday life This isn’t a technical AI book. And it isn’t another academic book about dyslexia. It’s a practical, accessible guide designed to help people work with their brain rather than constantly against it. Most importantly, I wanted it to feel: calm supportive realistic easy to follow genuinely useful Because accessibility should never feel overwhelming itself. 📖 In Paperback and Kindle. #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #AI #Accessibility #ADHD #AssistiveTechnology #CognitiveLoad #InclusiveDesign #DyslexiaSupport #Neurodiverse #ArtificialIntelligence

The government is consulting on proposed changes to the SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) system in England, which could affect how children receive support in school. A key proposal is a digital Individual Support Plan (ISP) outlining each child’s needs, support, and progress. This consultation is a vital opportunity for families to share their experiences and influence decisions. We’re gathering views to make sure parents and carers of dyslexic children and young people are heard. Your voice matters. Please help us shape a system that better supports your child by taking a few moments to answer some short questions about these proposals. #SENDReform #DyslexiaSupport #ParentVoice #EducationMatters

📚 Imagine walking into a lesson already understanding what’s about to be taught. For many students with dyslexia and other neurodiverse learning differences, lessons can feel overwhelming before they’ve even started. Trying to: 👉 process new vocabulary 👉 listen and take notes at the same time 👉 work out what’s important 👉 remember everything afterwards …creates huge cognitive overload. So I built something new into DyslexiaWrite: 🚀 Lesson Capture A learning support system designed to help neurodiverse students prepare for lessons, follow along more confidently, and revise afterwards. 💡 Before the lesson even starts, DyslexiaWrite can: ✔ Explain the lesson topic in plain language ✔ Highlight important words and meanings ✔ Suggest useful questions students could ask ✔ Reduce anxiety around unfamiliar topics 🎧 During the lesson it can: ✔ Capture and simplify notes automatically ✔ Help students focus on understanding instead of frantic note-taking ✔ Reduce the pressure of trying to remember everything in real time 📖 Afterwards, students get: ✔ Simplified revision notes ✔ Clear summaries of what mattered most ✔ Vocabulary support they can revisit later This isn’t about replacing teachers. It’s about giving neurodiverse learners the support they need to: 🧠 understand 🧠 participate 🧠 remember 🧠 feel confident in the classroom Because intelligence isn’t the barrier. Cognitive overload often is. I genuinely believe assistive technology should do more than spellcheck. It should help people learn and process information in a way that works for them. I’d love feedback from: 🎓 students 👩🏫 teachers 👨👩👧 parents 🧠 neurodiverse professionals 👉 Would something like this have helped you in school? 🌐 https://lnkd.in/efyYMVwA #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #EdTech #SEND #InclusiveEducation #AssistiveTechnology #LearningSupport #Accessibility #AIForGood #DyslexiaSupport #EducationTechnology #NeurodiverseLearners

🧠 Meetings can be exhausting when you’re neurodiverse. Not because you’re not capable. Because you’re often trying to do everything at once: 👉 listen 👉 process information 👉 work out what matters to you 👉 remember action points 👉 think of questions 👉 take notes at the same time That’s a huge cognitive load. So I built something new into DyslexiaWrite: 🚀 Meeting Survival Kit A workplace support tool designed to reduce cognitive overload during meetings for neurodiverse employees. 💡 It can: ✔ Explain meeting agendas in plain language ✔ Highlight whether topics are likely to affect your role ✔ Suggest useful questions you may want to ask ✔ Record meetings and create simplified notes ✔ Generate summaries you can review later ✔ Help reduce the stress of trying to remember everything in real time This isn’t about productivity hacks. It’s about: 🧠 understanding 🧠 participation 🧠 confidence Because too many neurodiverse employees leave meetings thinking: “I know things were said… but I can’t clearly piece it together afterwards.” 📉 Cognitive overload is real. And workplace support tools shouldn’t just correct spelling — they should help people process information more effectively. That’s the direction I believe assistive technology should go. 💷 And importantly: DyslexiaWrite may be available through the UK Government’s Access to Work scheme — meaning many employees can receive it fully funded. ✔ No cost to the employee ✔ Often no cost to the employer ✔ Supports workplace accessibility and Equality Act adjustments I’d genuinely love feedback on this feature 👇 👉 Would something like this help you at work? 👉 What part of meetings do you find most difficult? 🌐 https://lnkd.in/efyYMVwA #Neurodiversity #Dyslexia #AssistiveTechnology #Accessibility #InclusiveWorkplace #AccessToWork #AIForGood #WorkplaceSupport #Neurodiverse #CognitiveLoad #EdTech #DisabilityInclusion

🧠 Ever read something… and immediately forget what you just read? You’re not alone. For many people with dyslexia, the challenge isn’t just reading words — it’s holding onto the meaning while you read. So I built something new into DyslexiaWrite 👇 🚀 “Memory Reader” A reading support system that: ✔ Summarises what you’re reading as you go ✔ Lets you click any word for a simple explanation ✔ Builds your own personal vocabulary log over time ✔ Helps you stay focused without losing your place 💡 This isn’t about reading faster. It’s about reading with confidence and actually understanding. No switching tabs. No re-reading the same paragraph 3 times. No feeling lost halfway through a page. 📚 Over time, it also helps you: → improve comprehension → build vocabulary naturally → reduce frustration → become more independent This is the direction I believe assistive technology should go: 👉 Not just correcting mistakes 👉 But actually supporting how people think and learn I’d love honest feedback on this 👇 👉 Would this help you (or someone you know)? 👉 What would make reading easier for you? 🌐 Try it here: https://lnkd.in/efyYMVwA #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #AssistiveTechnology #EdTech #Accessibility #LearningSupport #ReadingSupport #AIForGood #InclusiveDesign #DyslexiaSupport

💡 “1 in 10 people in the UK are dyslexic.” That’s not a small group. That’s your colleagues. Your friends. Your team. And yet… most systems are still designed as if everyone processes information the same way. 📉 In school and at work, dyslexic individuals often face: Slower reading and writing tasks Pressure around emails, reports, and communication Being judged on spelling rather than ideas But here’s the reality 👇 🧠 Dyslexia isn’t a lack of ability — it’s a difference in how the brain processes information. And that difference often brings strengths like: ✔ Problem-solving ✔ Creativity ✔ Big-picture thinking ✔ Resilience 🚧 The issue isn’t dyslexia. It’s the environments that don’t adapt. 💬 The question we should be asking is: Are we designing systems that allow everyone to perform at their best? Because small adjustments can make a huge difference: clearer writing support tools that reduce cognitive load environments that value thinking, not just spelling I’ve been building DyslexiaWrite around this exact idea — not to “fix” writing, but to remove the barriers around it. If you’re dyslexic (or support someone who is), I’d love to hear: 👉 What’s the biggest challenge you face with writing today? #Dyslexia #Neurodiversity #InclusiveWorkplace #Accessibility #EdTech #AssistiveTechnology #DyslexiaSupport #AIForGood #DifferentNotLess
