Did you know the name Black Swan is linked to Australia? 🦢 🖤 In the Middle Ages, Europeans didn’t know black swans existed until they discovered the shores of Australia. Black Swan became synonymous with something thought to be impossible until someone proves the opposite. This week, we addressed the Australian Parliament (see details below) to discuss how our proven technology can solve a key issue - inefficient and inequitable logistics holding back economic and regional growth.

The catalyst behind our technology started when the #EIF backed the first VCs in Bulgaria (only 15 years ago). Since, we have developed a clean-sheet aerospace program and have repeatedly designed, built and tested the only large, strategic drones made in Europe. The kind that Europe didn't take seriously, until now. It all started with that one bold bet. Only 15 years ago, startup capital did not exist. Today, countries like Bulgaria have one of the fastest growing startup ecosystems on the continent, according to #EIB data. This is why bold bets matter, even if it takes 15 years to see why.

Closer partnerships is one of the four key action points identified by the European Commission's Defence Readiness Roadmap 2030. Our recently announced partnership with HENSOLDT extends this policy into action by addressing critical objectives for European security, such as the ability to continuously detect and target multi-domain threats from the air, ensuring European sovereignty over European skies. In a recent Startup Europe podcast by Sifted, Linda Rottenberg, CEO of Endeavor, shared how Endeavor’s long-held belief that talent is everywhere, but capital and opportunity are not, is playing out today across Europe, including in hidden gem deep tech hubs like Bulgaria. As she put it: “Today Endeavor is doubling down on this notion of ‘elsewhere’.
