About us
Criterion Games is an award-winning studio and Battlefield Studios developer at Electronic Arts. Our story began back in the mid-1990s as a small studio of talented people who craft games with joy, passion, and commitment to great quality. Growing over the years, we’ve nurtured our values in creative collaboration, diversity, honesty and unique perspectives in a studio that is a healthy mix of industry veterans and newcomers working together to inspire, support, and educate one another. We are incredibly proud to have been named a winner of the “best places to work in the UK video games industry” by GamesIndustry.biz every year since 2017. Players know us from racing games across the Burnout and Need for Speed series, and in recent years we’ve worked with our colleagues at DICE on Star Wars Battlefront - Rogue One: X-Wing: VR Mission, Star Wars Battlefront II. In 2022, we released Need for Speed Unbound. Our studio is currently focused on the next Battlefield game after previously contributing to Battlefield V and Battlefield 2042.. We’re a talented team of people who live and breathe games; from table top to video games. You’ll find us playing, creating, breathing and talking games. In fact, gaming is so important to us that we purposefully have a chunk of time set aside to play games every day! Learning from the widest range of experiences makes our own games better.
