Extremely pleased to announce the launch of CWG's partnership with leading personal-safety app #WalkSafe. Following the first phase of our partnership, where One Canada Square was marked as a 24/7 dedicated Safe Space and members of our security team were marked as "Angel Beacons" allowing anyone in distress to find a helpful, friendly face, the second phase has unlocked additional features that we hope will make a real impact for our visitors to feel safe and secure: ~Safety map of Canary Wharf plotting venues that have undergone safety initiatives such as Ask for Angela and anti-spiking, leaving visitors feeling reassured that these venues have their safety in mind ~Live journey sharing and SOS button ~Access to reporting functionality where app users can share concerns and safety issues easily and anonymously ~Access live Angel Beacons on the safety map in Canary Wharf who are on hand to help should visitors feel unsafe or need support ~One Canada Square is a dedicated Safe Space, open 24/7 with trained security officers and staff should anyone require assistance This partnership forms a significant part of our broader Safety Assurance Scheme and how we're working to help eliminate violence against women and girls. By combining technology-led tools like WalkSafe with 24/7 on-the-ground welfare provision, we've strengthened our ability to protect visitors whilst also supporting the night-time economy. Proud of the team for championing this partnership! For more details on WalkSafe and to download the WalkSafe+ app, head to https://lnkd.in/e7k66iYx CWG WalkSafe Emma Kay

Planning consent secured for One Eden, a world-class destination for modern occupiers 🌿🏙️ We're excited to announce that planning consent for a comprehensive refurbishment of the landmark building previously known as 33 Canada Square, has been secured and will be delivered on a pre-let basis. Located at the epicentre of Canary Wharf adjacent to Eden Dock, and connected to Jubilee and Canada Square parks, One Eden will provide more than 545,000 sq ft of high-quality workspace in addition to retail amenities and an option for a signature rooftop restaurant. A striking internal atrium creates a dramatic centrepiece that will flood the building with natural light. Originally designed by globally renowned architects Foster+Partners the building is being reimagined by tp bennett, delivering a world-class destination for modern occupiers, setting a new benchmark for sustainable development, retaining 97% of the existing sub and super structure to preserve more than 62,000 tonnes of concrete. Proud to share some exciting news from CWG📚 We've relaunched our further education grants, totalling £250,000, in partnership with the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. Successful applicants will receive grants between £2,800 and £5,900, depending on the course, supporting LBTH residents who face financial barriers to pursuing further or higher education, postgraduate study, or professional and vocational training. Since 1990, the Tower Hamlets and Canary Wharf Further Education Trust has helped more than 4,500 students unlock their potential and access the qualifications they need to thrive. Investing in education is one of the most powerful ways we can support the communities around us, and the grants are exactly what that looks like in practice. When the public and private sectors work together towards a shared goal, the results speak for themselves. For us, this isn't just about building a world-class destination, it's about creating lasting, positive change for the people who live and work here, now and in the future. Building a deliverable future for east London. What happens when you bring 150 leaders from the private, public and voluntary sectors into one room? You get a roadmap for real, inclusive growth. ELBA, Queen Mary University of London and the East London Civic Advisory Network (ELCAN) convened a landmark summit, hosted by CWG to define a shared vision for our region. From the evolution of Canary Wharf to deep-dives into place-based collaboration, the energy was focused on one thing: making prosperity deliverable for everyone in east London through inclusion and constructive collaboration. Key takeaways from the day: - Collaboration is currency: Inclusive growth only happens when business, education, health and community leaders align. - Local insight, national impact: Mapping local opportunities against strategic frameworks ensures our vision is both ambitious and grounded. - Place-based power: Real change happens when we invest in the unique strengths of our neighbourhoods. A huge thank you to our hosts, CWG, and our speakers, Sir Nigel Wilson, Professor Colin Bailey CBE, FREng and the Rt Hon Sir Stephen Timms MP, and all of the panel members for setting the stage for what’s next. #ELBA #QMUL #ECLAN #CWG #EastLondon #InclusiveGrowth #Innovation #SkillsForFuture #CommunityWealth #Collaboration

Opinions about the outlook for real estate were as variable as the weather at MIPIM this year. I left on Thursday afternoon as the sun was shining with a renewed sense of optimism about the potential for 2026 and beyond. Geopolitical uncertainty remains a primary consideration, but overall I was impressed by the sustained resilience of business confidence as occupiers and investors are actively developing growth strategies, acknowledging the longer term implications of decisions made today. Thank you to Estates Gazette for sharing my views on intelligent refurbishment and its role in shaping London offices' next phase. Collaborating with occupiers and investors in a long-term, custodial way is in our DNA. It sets Canary Wharf apart and gives me optimism for the future. I would also point you to an insightful story written by Paul Norman at CoStar reviewing Canary Wharf's evolution - a timely piece that captures how the Wharf has evolved from a business focussed district to a dynamic mixed-use destination welcoming over 76m visitors in 2025. It's #FoodWasteActionWeek 🍎 and what better way to draw attention to rescuing surplus food than following a day in the life of CWG apprentice and The Felix Project volunteer, Sameur R. At The Felix Project’s Poplar depot, Sameur gets hands-on with one of London’s most vital missions: rescuing surplus food and getting it to the people who need it most. Along the way, he hears from Supply Manager Paul about the scale of the challenge. In London, 4.6 million tonnes of edible surplus food is wasted every year, and less than 1% of it is currently being rescued. The Felix Project is working to change that, rescuing surplus food and redistributing it to communities across the capital. For Sameur, volunteering is about more than packing crates, it’s about impact. You may have already spotted him in our Where Ambition Lives brand campaign across London, representing a district that doesn't just talk about community engagement - we get hands-on with it. From tackling food poverty to supporting local education, our people make the difference. 💚 Interested in volunteering with The Felix Project?
