01 Apr 2026: Housing Finance, Progressive Delivery, Safety Approvals, and Data-Driven Robotics Homes England has officially launched the National Housing Bank with up to £16bn in capital, spanning loans, equity, and guarantees. Unlike previous funding cycles, this is a permanent institution designed to behave more like a commercial lender than a grant programme. Its first deal is already underway, backing a £100m build-to-rent partnership with Aviva targeting thousands of homes across Liverpool and Manchester.
