For #NationalApprenticeshipWeek, we’ve been keen to understand how parents and young people view apprenticeships differently in the UK. As part of our Apprenticeship Barometer, we’ve analysed where perception gaps can lie – and what each group thinks are some of the benefits and challenges of apprenticeships. For parents, there’s strong support for apprenticeships when compared to university degrees. But as our report reveals, there are still blockers in the way. At BAE Systems, our apprentices collaborate and learn from specialist teams, with roles covering four levels across engineering, manufacturing, technology and business. We’re helping create secure, long-term growth for apprentices with the opportunity to build a career that lasts a lifetime.
