As we expand the London Cancer Hub into a global leader for cancer research and innovation, we're committed to ensuring that growth delivers tangible, lasting benefits across Sutton. Aviva today announces the appointment of Chris Cochrane as Group Chief Information Officer*, with effect from summer 2026. Chris is currently Group Chief Information Technology Officer at M&G and replaces John Cummings, who is retiring. We recently celebrated the incredible winners of the 2025 Aviva Broker Community Fund - an initiative that continues to showcase the remarkable impact charities and community organisations make across Ireland. With over 150 applications received from brokers and financial advisors, the standard this year was exceptionally high, reflecting the passion, innovation and commitment within local communities nationwide. In total, €140,000 was awarded, including: 50 early entry participation grants of €700, and Top funding awards for eight finalist organisations Selskar College in Co. Wexford (nominated by Teresa Bruen PGDip BA(Hons) QFA RPA FPRA SIA of Gallagher Insurance) won the Community Award, receiving €20,000. The Early Learning Initiative at the National College of Ireland (nominated by Barry-John MacDonald of MacDonald Financial Consultants Ltd) and St. Joseph's Foundation in Co. Cork (nominated by Brian O'Mara ACII of Brown & Brown Ireland) were named joint winners of the Charity Award, each receiving €15,000. Community category runners-up St. Marys Rochfortbridge, Clogher Environmental Group CLG, and Charleville First Responders, along with charity category runners-up An Cosán and AK Inspired CLG, each received an €11,000 award in recognition of their impactful work. Thank you to everyone who entered, nominated and championed local causes - your support helps strengthen communities and create lasting change.
