Aquarian is Ambling Again! 🚶♂️➡️🚶♀️➡️🚶➡️ On 26th September 2026, the Aquarian Cladding Systems Ltd team will be taking on our 2nd Ultra Challenge®. This time, it's a 25km hike through the beautiful but challenging Chiltern Hills. Training started at the beginning of the year with our monthly steps challenge, organised by Jake, to help us build fitness and prepare for this walk together. So far, we’ve collectively completed an impressive 8,532,468 steps since January - so training is well underway! This year, we are walking in support of Down Syndrome UK | Positive About Down Syndrome, in memory of David, a much-loved member of Jazz's husband's family. David, who had Down Syndrome, lived a full and happy life until the age of 59 - it was charities like DSUK that offered endless support and guidance. If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, it would mean a lot and help support the incredible work Down Syndrome UK does for families. Just Giving Page: https://lnkd.in/eQvDEdc8 Thank you for helping us make every (circa 35,000!) step count. #CharityWalk #UltraChallenge #Fundraising #TeamEffort #DownSyndromeAwareness #InMemory

Your façade is adding more to your structure than you think. Most projects default to traditional masonry because that is what has always been done. It feels safe. Familiar. Standard. But once you look at the numbers, the conversation shifts. Traditional brickwork typically weighs about 135 kg per m², whereas a mechanically fixed brick cladding system is usually closer to 53 kg per m². That is over 60 percent less dead load on the structure. We recently spoke with a contractor who assumed their structural package was finalised. When façade weights were reviewed, the steel demand changed. Foundation loads shifted. Balcony detailing became simpler. Façade choice is not only about appearance. It influences structure, programme and cost. As a materials supplier to sub-contractors and after many conversations with architects, we see how early wall-loading decisions shape the rest of the build. Are you reviewing façade weight early enough in your projects? #FacadeEngineering #WallLoadings #StructuralDesign #BuildingEnvelope #CladdingSystems #BrickCladding #MainContractor #Architects #SteelFrame #SFS #ConstructionUK #ValueEngineering

A façade system that balances simplicity, performance, and design flexibility. The VariAL-TF system by Ash & Lacy is engineered to deliver a robust and cost-effective rainscreen solution without compromising on aesthetics or performance. Designed for flat panel rainscreen cladding applications, VariAL-TF uses colour-matched rivets through the panel face, allowing architects and specifiers to achieve a clean, consistent façade with minimal shadow gaps while maintaining a straightforward installation process. Why designers and contractors choose VariAL-TF: 🔵 Simple, efficient installation – through-fix panels streamline design, detailing and on-site installation. 🔵 Clean visual appearance – colour-matched rivets minimise visual impact while retaining a smooth façade finish. 🔵 Flexible design options – compatible with a range of panel sizes, materials and finishes to suit architectural intent. 🔵 Proven performance – engineered as part of Ash & Lacy’s CWCT-tested rainscreen façade systems. As part of the wider VariAL façade system range, VariAL-TF integrates seamlessly with Ash & Lacy’s AxiAL & AxiAL+ support systems, giving specifiers the flexibility to tailor solutions for both new build and refurbishment projects. If you’re exploring rainscreen cladding options for your next project, get in touch with us here at Aquarian Cladding Systems Ltd, and our team would be happy to help. 📩 info@aquariancladding.co.uk 📞 0808 223 9080 #RainscreenCladding #FacadeEngineering #Architecture #BuildingEnvelope #AquarianCladding #Metal #MetalFacades #Design #ConstructionInnovation #CWCT #PowderCoating #UKManufactured

Construction would not operate the way it does without the women behind it. Women in Construction Week (1–7 March 2026) highlights the contribution women continue to make in an industry where they still represent only around 11–13% of the workforce. At Aquarian Cladding Systems, we see that contribution every day! Jazz leads the business as Managing Director, setting the direction and standards we work to. Emma keeps projects and deliveries on track, managing the details that most people never see but every customer depends on. Glynis supports commercial and project development, ensuring quotes stay on schedule while building new opportunities. Vicki manages sales and project administration, maintaining clear communication from enquiry through to order. Beyond our own team, we also recognise the women across our supply chain, from manufacturers and technical teams to buyers, project managers and site coordinators. The people we speak to daily who keep projects moving, solve problems quickly, and consistently raise standards. This year’s theme, “Level Up, Build Strong,” speaks to progression and leadership, creating opportunity and strengthening the talent pipeline so the next generation sees construction as an industry where they belong. We’re proud of the women helping drive Aquarian forward every day, and grateful for the impact they make across our business and the wider industry. #womeninconstuction #wic #women #female #cladding #facades #sustainable #gateway2 #bsa #architect #designers

Four weeks ago, we kicked off a simple idea at Aquarian Cladding Systems Ltd Split the team in two, get people moving more, and see what happens. Fast forward a month, and the results speak for themselves. Ten people took part and, together, logged over 3,000,000 steps. That is an average of more than 75,000 steps per person per week. Not through big gestures. Just small daily walks, fresh air, and time away from desks added into normal routines. There was a bit of competition running alongside it. Team B finished the final week with their highest total of the challenge, but Team A had built enough of a lead to take the overall win by 45,705 steps. Congrats to Martin, Emma, Paul, Glynis and Ryan, our first winners. Each of them picks up a £10 Amazon voucher. But the most rewarding part has not been the prize. It is seeing how quickly people got into the habit of moving more. Short walks became regular. Step counts went up. Screens got left behind more often. Round one is done. Teams have now been reshuffled at random, and weeks five to eight are already underway. Same idea. New teams. Let’s see if we can beat the first month. #AquarianCladdingSystems #TeamAquarian #StepChallenge #WorkplaceWellbeing #MentalHealthAtWork #GetMoving #FreshAir #HealthyHabits #TeamCulture #OfficeLife

LineAL-X. Clean lines, controlled performance. It is a folded aluminium plank rainscreen system manufactured by Ash & Lacy, using a secret fix approach to deliver clean lines and a consistent finish without visible fixings. Planks can be installed vertically or horizontally and are fixed back to fully adjustable AxiAL support systems, allowing tolerances to be managed properly on site. Performance is built in. Fire classifications align with A1 and A2 to EN 13501-1 as part of the wider system, and thermal performance is modelled on a project-specific basis to suit the actual build-up. LineAL-X is lightweight, durable and 100 per cent recyclable. It is UK-manufactured, CWCT-tested, and finished in a QUALICOAT-approved in-house powder-coating facility, ensuring consistency across panels and details. What matters is the support behind it. You get CAD details, project-specific calculations and clear technical advice as standard.
