Valuable insights from #MicrosoftAITour in London! As we continue to explore the intersection of technology and professional development, it is essential to remain informed about the latest advancements in AI. At APMG International, we look to expand our use of AI this year, and remain committed to a human-centered approach that empowers our colleagues and enhances professional development.
I was fortunate to have an inspiring day yesterday at the #MicrosoftAITour up in London, and not just for the chance to see a F1 car, have a Simpsons style AI generated souvenir postcard, and pose with the Premier League trophy. AI truly has come on leaps and bounds, especially in the last twelve months. It was incredible to hear Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella share stories of how even the NHS in Manchester is using it to reduce waiting lists and improve patient documentation, plus the chance to roll out sophisticated imaging for immunotherapy assessments for cancer patients. As he remarked, working with AI agents is like working with the broadest set of minds'. Jon Chapman was superb in offering practical advice on how to build the business case for AI, not just relying on using it for the sake of it, with practical next steps. Stephanie Neale, Chief Learning Officer, shared a stat that '70% of the skills used in most jobs will change by 2030, with AI emerging as a catalyst', as part of her insights into Frontier Firms. APMG International are dedicated to expanding our use of AI more this year, but importantly as Jo Johnstone noted, ensuring we do so with a human-centred approach in mind, helping colleagues feel empowered.
