Due to the time-critical nature of the project, our engineer worked through the night to ensure the site’s perimeter security was fully restored with minimal disruption to operations. With excellent technical support from CAME UK and guidance from Dave Harrison, we installed the powerful CAME BKV motor — a reliable solution designed for heavy-duty, high-traffic gate systems. Active Concept Enterprise Ltd recently completed a CCTV upgrade at a major arena car park in Coventry, improving coverage, visibility, and system reliability. The installation includes: • 180° panoramic camera for wide-area monitoring • Varifocal camera for focused coverage of a storage area • PTZ camera for active monitoring and incident tracking This setup provides both continuous surveillance and responsive incident management. The project also involved over 300m of fibre cabling, a managed network switch, and structured installation to ensure performance, resilience, and remote diagnostics ,reducing maintenance needs and costs. Cards were continually dropping from the lock memory, and the incumbent supplier had been making frequent chargeable visits simply to replace batteries. After a structured fault-finding process, our director identified the root cause: incorrect installation had led to premature hardware failure. We replaced the reader with a new solution from Salto Systems and, at the client’s request, enhanced the room with an additional life-safety and safeguarding measure: • Internal privacy button • Allows occupants to secure themselves inside • Prevents all external credential access • Provides protection until it is confirmed safe Too many call-outs in our industry treat the symptom rather than the cause.
