No one can read a book cover to cover, everyone uses AI to cheat, and yet somehow everyone gets A’s. Also, half the teachers are underpaid adjuncts even as students go into massive debt for their degree. Yes, a higher education bubble could absolutely be about to burst.

People are under-pricing the possibility of a black-swan-esque event where significant chunks of higher ed collapse suddenly. At some point parents will decide they will not pay $100-400k combined for their kids to cheat their way through college. I expect a bang, not a whimper.

Non-journalists may not understand why this is a terrible idea and precedent. But journalists should know better. Hold the line. If nothing else, it’s yet another clear sign that the value of the written word continues to drop like a rock in an AI filled, post-literacy culture.

In a statement, WSJ opinion editor Paul Gigot defends Druckenmiller's use of AI to write Monday's op ed, saying "AI is a fact of modern life," and "nobody can doubt that his op-ed is his genuine opinion."

In my latest story on Cyberleek for @mashable I reviewed the subpoenas Take-Two Interactive filed against Google and X Corp. Looks like the judge has signed the Microsoft and Discord subpoenas as well, which isn't a surprise.
