Limecraft 2026.5 introduces a new multi-cam player, audio fingerprint-based media synchronization, real-time integration of live timecode notes, and mobile push notifications. The release also extends Limecraft Cloud Connector with on-demand transcoding and improves the integration of live production notes.
The Multi-cam Player allows recordings belonging to the same multi-cam group to be played simultaneously in a quad-view grid, providing production staff and assistant editors with a clearer overview of the available coverage.
Limecraft Edge now includes a beta version of audio-based media synchronization; this provides an alternative when recording devices were not correctly synchronized, timecode metadata is missing or clocks have drifted. Limecraft uses audio fingerprints from recordings and compares them to identify matching or overlapping parts. The system then proposes multi-cam groupings, visualizes the overlap between recordings, and flags potential issues for review.
The updated Limecraft Mobile App supports push notifications, giving operational users greater visibility into workflows while away from their desks.
Live Timecode Notes (from EditingTools.io) are designed for timecode-aware logging during live events and studio recordings. It supports custom tags, quick-action buttons and external timecode sources, helping loggers capture structured observations while production is still under way. With Limecraft 2026.5, notes are synchronized in near real time as they are logged, making selections, production observations and other editorial context available alongside the recorded material without waiting for a separate manual handover.
Limecraft will demonstrate the new capabilities next month at IBC 2026 (Stand 7.D21).
