Even during many networking events, I get the same rebuttal when telling where I was and where I am now. Guess it is not a surprise hearing, "I really want to make a change for my health too." any longer. New Year's resolutions, anyone? There are ample mental and lifestyle reasons why they do not work. We all know what we need to do. Get our calories under control, build up a sweat, move quicker and more smoothly into our zzz-time. It's not complicated, and it never has been. Yet the whole truth is we still keep looking for shortcuts, magical potions, and quick fixes that promise results without the effort. Once you commit to the basics and stick with them, there is no going back. Not because it's easy (change is hard, and that's fine!), but because the alternative no longer makes sense.
