Tejasri N
I'm an Applied Computer Vision and Machine Learning researcher.
I obtained my PhD from the Dept. of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Hyderabad, under the supervision of Prof. Rajalakshmi.
My PhD focused on developing deep learning techniques for crop trait estimation using UAV‑captured RGB and multispectral imagery, as part of the project Data science–based farming support system for sustainable crop production under climate change funded by DST India and JST Japan.
I'm currently working as a Research Intern at Advanced Visual Intelligence group at Samsung R&D, Bangalore, India.
I'm passionate about building socially relevant and environment‑friendly AI systems that drive translational, real‑world impact. I also enjoy exploring learning theory and working at the intersection of theory and applied ML.
I'm an ardent supporter of FOSS, open knowledge, and AI for Social Good. I volunteer at Swecha‑FSMI, I'm a member of Women in 6G, and was a core member of Climate Change AI. I enjoy reading books, travelling, working with cross-cultural, interdisciplinary teams, bringing together diverse expertise pushing the boundaries for real-world impact.
