Detect task location on Azure DevOps sprint board
Hi all, Our company uses Azure DevOps Server 2022 with all its features. We have a project with a Scrum template for task management. Under this project, we use both task boards (main and sprint boards). When defining a query, I can use the "Board Column" field to filter the result based on where the work item is located on the main board. Now I want to use a similar technique to find out where the task is located on the sprint board, and I can't find the field that contains the info. It is even acceptable to find the task column using azure-cli if there is a suggestion.694Views0likes1CommentAdding CodeReview and Feedback WorkItems
Hi guys, I pretty new to Azure DevOps and working with agile process. I checked the documentation from Microsoft how to set up my project in DevOps and how to add work items etc. But I'm struggeling now how to track everything good in our development process. Basically I want to have I my agile process something like a code review and feedback/test item. And I the documentation from microsoft they talk about this types of work items. But how can I add this to my project? I don't have a selection for that when I add a new work item. Can anybody help and explain how this works? Thx 😊 Flo623Views0likes1CommentAzure SRE Agent Demo - Incident Management v01

Hi Team, May I know if it is possible to perform a manual input stage in a CICD pipeline before it undergo into a different stage? Such that I will supply the required parameters during the CICD execution and the run will be used on other stages of the pipeline. Hi Guys, I hope you are all well. Recently I set up these policies for my AVD env: Set time limit for active but idle Remote Desktop Services sessions - Disabled Set time limit for active Remote Desktop Services sessions - Disabled Disconnect remote session on lock for legacy authentication - Disabled Disconnect remote session on lock for Microsoft identity platform authentication - Disabled The result is that the after some idle time session is not completely disconnected but AVD is being locking out, and that is good but - from lock screen I can't log-in again - I received info that the password is incorrect. In event viewer I see: Event ID 4673. From that place I can disconnect session, restart machine or add additional keyboard layout -> after I click "Update" I am being moved to Desktop, but still poor solution. Password is definitely correct, account is not being locked out/disabled. All machines are Entra ID Joined. Any ideas? Hi all, I'm currently facing issues switching to one of my Azure AD B2C directories. When I try to switch from my primary directory to the B2C directory, it prompts me with 2fa (which it should) however, I don't get the message on my phone. When I try to enter the temporary 6-digit number (xxx-xxx) it fails, saying that the code is incorrect. Now the interesting part the 2fa push message works perfectly fine when I try to sign in to my other MS products with the same profile, so I don't think it's a setting on the phone or my profile (I have followed all the "microsoft authenticator app no push notification" topics online). Is there a temporary problem with Azure? How do I fix this? I have alternate methods, like SMS, call, and even an alternate Email, but I can't choose any of them in the login process. Also, I have restarted the phone, reassigned the account to the app, and more. Is anyone facing the same issues? As the title says, I am interested in expert opinions on whether I should include the AADNonInteractiveUserSignInLogs from Entra ID in a LAW, as this table dwarfs the SignInLogs in terms of the amount of data (by a factor of 8x) and therefore creates higher costs. Secondly, I am curious if there are ways to reduce the amount of non-interactive SignInLogs that are generated in the first place.61Views0likes1CommentWorkspace failure
Hi Community, I had my Databricks workspace up and running and it was managed through terraform, and encryption was enabled through cmk, there were some updation in the code, so I put terraform plan, one of the key changes(replace) it showed me was "azurerm_role_assignment.storage_identity_kv_access module.workspace.azurerm_role_assignment.storage_identity_kv_access" the terraform run was running for 30 min, and the workspace was in deployment for long time and then ultimately got failed. Again, as all the changes were not done, I reapplied, and I got this error "Performing CreateOrUpdate: unexpected status 400 (400 Bad Request ) With error: InvalidEncryptionConfiguration: Configure encryption for workspace at creation is not allowed, configure encryption once workspace is created and key vault access policies are added" Again, I applied and everything and terraform run succeeded but I can see in azure portal that workspace is in failed state, but if I go to Databricks account I can see Databricks as running and if I go to workspace, I am able to start clusters and execute some queries. I am not able to launch the workspace using azure portal, not sure there will be other issues due to this. Could anyone help me to resolve this issue. Let me know if you need anything further to investigate the issue.75Views0likes3CommentsUnlocking Innovation with the Microsoft Scenario Library

As organizations increasingly adopt hybrid and multi-cloud environments, managing user identities and enabling secure access across various systems becomes more complex—and more critical. This is where the Federated Identity pattern comes into play, particularly in Microsoft Azure, which offers robust support for integrating external identity providers through protocols like OAuth and SAML. In this blog, we’ll explore what federated identity is, how it works in Azure, and the benefits of using external identity providers for authentication. https://dellenny.com/federated-identity-in-azure-seamless-access-with-external-identity-providers/13Views0likes0CommentsAzure IAM Report – Explicit Permissions Only
Hi all, Is anyone currently working on a request to generate a report of all IAM permissions across all Azure resources? My idea is to create a script that reports only explicitly assigned permissions at the Management Group, Subscription, Resource Group, or individual Resource level. However, I’m struggling to find a way to filter only explicit permissions at the Management Group level — everything seems to include inherited roles as well. Has anyone already solved this issue or found a workaround? Thanks in advance!46Views1like2CommentsAVD Adding users to Remote Desktop User Group
Hi all, From my understanding AVD uses port 443 (HTTPS) to connect users to their virtualized environment. However, I have noticed that AVD automatically adds users to the Remote Desktop Users Group, which is meant originally for port 3389 (RDP). I spoke with a Microsoft Support Specialist regarding this and it was mentioned this was used as a break-glass method in case users cannot connect through 443. My question is then, is it necessary to have users added to the Remote Desktop Users Group? And is there any way we could stop the automation in adding users to that group? Hello. The retirement notice for the Azure Dependency Agent (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/azure-monitor/vm/vminsights-maps-retirement) recommends selecting an Azure Marketplace product as a replacement but is not specific about what product(s) offer similar functionality. Would appreciate more specific guidance and experiences from the wider community. Thanks.25Views0likes1CommentUnlocking Innovation with Azure AI Foundry Agent Service

Modern data systems must strike a balance between high-performance querying and cost-effective data processing. In many scenarios, especially when working with large datasets or serving low-latency analytical dashboards, raw data queries can become a bottleneck. This is where the Materialized View pattern comes into play—a design approach that precomputes and stores query results for rapid access. In this blog, we’ll explore what the Materialized View pattern is, why it matters, and how to implement it effectively in Microsoft Azure. https://dellenny.com/boosting-performance-with-the-materialized-view-pattern-in-azure/15Views0likes0CommentsCache-Aside (Lazy Loading) Load Data into a Cache on Demand in Azure
