There’s a deal on Tapo P110M smart plugs, with a four-pack down to $28.69 from $35.99. Amazon shows 20% off, while the $32.31 90-day average puts the actual discount at 11%. At about $7 per plug, that’s cheap enough to pick up four without thinking twice.

Matter is why this suits a Samsung house

These speak Matter, so they pair directly into SmartThings with no Tapo hub and no second app to manage. They appear next to your Galaxy devices and work inside SmartThings routines like anything else in the house.

That is a bigger deal than it sounds. The usual smart home experience is four apps that each control one brand and none of which talk to each other. A Matter device joins the ecosystem you already use, and the app it shipped with becomes optional rather than mandatory.

Energy monitoring is the underrated part

The P110M reports what the thing plugged into it is actually drawing. That sounds like a novelty until you put one on a space heater, an old chest freezer or a gaming PC and find out what it costs you per month. It is usually the feature that turns one smart plug into four, which is convenient given this is a four-pack.

There is no subscription attached to any of it, and the plugs are rated to 15A so they will handle real appliances rather than only lamps.

Should you buy it?

If you are on SmartThings and have never bothered with smart plugs, this is a cheap way to do the whole house at once without stranding yourself in another app. They work with Alexa and Google Home too, if your setup is mixed.

Worth checking before you order: this is the P110M, the Matter model with energy monitoring. TP-Link sells several near-identical looking plugs under the Tapo name and only some carry both features, so confirm the model number on the listing rather than going by the photo. Keepa has seen the four-pack at $26.99 within the last 90 days, so this is a good price rather than the outright floor.
