You can now ask AI Mode in Search to keep you updated on exactly what you're looking for, with as much detail and nuance as you want. AI Mode will map out a plan to monitor for new updates continuously on your behalf. For example, you can now set up tasks to:

Track product restocks and price drops: Get alerts when a sold-out item returns to stock in your size from any retailer, or when prices drop. You’ll get links to checkout on the merchant site to complete your purchase. For example:

“Tell me when the Ugg Tasman II slippers in chestnut size 8 are back in stock at any store.”

Follow fast-moving topics: Stay informed about official announcements, new research or major breakthroughs, or technical reports on specific topics. For example:

“Keep me updated on major breakthroughs in the renewable energy space. I’m interested in what’s happening with new solar panel efficiency records or next generation battery storage.”

Discover local events and happenings: Easily find the latest on neighborhood pop-ups, markets, exhibitions, or local festivals curated to your interests. For example:

This feature is available to users 18 or older in all countries, territories and languages where AI Mode is available.

What you need

You must be signed in to a personal Google Account that you manage on your own.

Ensure your history setting is turned on.
Get started
- On your computer, go to Google Search and tap AI Mode
.
- You can also go to google.com/ai.
- Enter your question in the Ask anything bar. For example:
- “Keep me updated when new weekend pop-ups for vintage flea markets, stoop sales or night markets are announced.”
- “Keep me updated as soon as NYC ballet or opera shows release their under 40 discounted tickets.”
- To ensure you get exactly what you're looking for, AI Mode may ask a few quick follow-up questions to clarify your request.
- Important: If your initial request has enough detail, this step will be skipped automatically.
- AI Mode will create a task from your prompt. You can also tell AI Mode to adjust or edit your instructions.
- You can tell AI Mode to adjust or edit your instructions. AI Mode will update the response based on your new preferences.
- You will get a notification in the Google app.
Tip: The notification may appear when your device is locked depending on your settings. You can turn notifications for Google apps on or off in your device’s app notification settings.
- You can also delete the task by asking AI Mode:
- “Stop sending me these updates.”
- “Delete this task.”
