As of May 28, 2022, European Economic Area (EEA) law gives users based in the EEA the right to withdraw from their Google Account.
To withdraw from your Google Account means to delete it. This action also deletes your YouTube channel and all associated personal data. This includes:
- Any information you created or saved on Google Drive.
- Your uploaded videos, comments, and purchases made on YouTube.
- Music, movies, TV shows, and apps you bought on Google Play.
- Emails and attachments you sent and received in your Gmail.
- Access to any third-party services you signed up for with your Google Account.
If you want to withdraw from your account, you need to submit a withdrawal form. This is to confirm that you own the account. You can only do this if the account was created in the last 14 days.
For more information on your withdrawal rights, review your Terms of Service.
Before you delete your account on your own or through Google, make sure to download your personal data. You can’t get your data back after you delete it.
You can also delete your account yourself at any time. Learn how to delete your Google Account.
