Building the Future of Internet Distribution

About us

Transcelestial is building the future of Internet Distribution. The ultimate goal is to build a space laser network to deliver a step-change in internet connectivity globally. This will be the fastest way to bring the rest of the world up on the bandwidth and connectivity curve. Right now, we are using the same technology on the ground as a "wireless fibre optics" in a product called CENTAURI. CENTAURI is our mass-produced network device which leverages our proprietary Wireless Laser Communication Technology to create a wireless distribution network between buildings, traditional cell towers, street-level poles and other physical infrastructure. It is the size of a shoe-box, weighing less than 3kg and capable of delivering true fibre-like speeds to customers at fraction of the cost of traditional fibre. There are two versions of devices available - 1 Gbps Full Duplex (4G & Enterprise ready) and 10 Gbps Full Duplex (5G-ready).

There's a gap between proving laser comms works and proving it can scale. IEEE Spectrum featured Transcelestial because we're closing it. The article is clear about what sets us apart: While others have demonstrated laser links using bespoke, multi-million-dollar equipment, we're the only company approaching this through manufacturability, supply chain, and ground station networks built to make commercial sense. That's the unlock the industry has been waiting for. 🔓 High-bandwidth. Secure. Optical connectivity from orbit... at a cost structure that can actually scale. Decades from now, when fiber-speed internet reaches the parts of the world still waiting for it, the story might just trace back to a rooftop like ours. 40 satellites. Fiber-grade connectivity across the equatorial band. A cost-per-bit that rewrites the economics of space communications. The bottleneck was never the physics. It was how you bring it to people. The future of Philippine connectivity is looking brighter than ever! We're celebrating a major milestone as Globe Telecom partners with Transcelestial to deploy 400 laser links over the next three years. This partnership is a game-changer-- it's finally bringing high-speed tech to coastlines and mountains where traditional cables can't reach. We’re proud to support Transcelestial and Globe as they build a more resilient, inclusive digital backbone for every Filipino! Definitely a big win for the Philippines. We made it into TECHBLITZ. And it all started with our deployment at Matsuyama Castle one of Japan's most iconic landmarks which then became the centrepiece of our feature story, where our CEO Rohit Jha talks about the journey from being a banker to now connecting the world with lasers 👉 Lasercomms as a technology? It’s not new. FSO (Free Space Optics) has existed since the 1960s, but nobody could make it work at scale 👉 What we built at Transcelestial?  We changed that by combining the best hardware, AI, and tracking systems into one product: CENTAURI, which led to Fiber-grade internet speeds, at a tenth of the cost, and now grown to world's largest FSO live network. And the momentum doesn't stop there. We've now expanded our customer base to the world's top telecom carriers, the three major US giants, plus leading operators in Taiwan, India, the Philippines, and NTT in Japan 🇯🇵 This is what getting people connected faster and at scale looks like. Read the full story on TECHBLITZ: https://lnkd.in/gVvfcN6H P.S. Yes, we get asked "is it safe?" a lot. Our answer: we've had lasers running above our own heads in the office for over 8 years. That's either proof it works or we're very committed. #CENTAURI #Lasercomms

  • We've been thinking a lot about where the industry is headed and we know you have too. Fiber shortages are hitting hard. Lead times are stretching beyond a year, deployments are stalling, and the demand from AI and broadband isn't slowing down. It's becoming clear that building tomorrow's networks on fiber alone isn't going to cut it. 👉 That's exactly why we're excited to be at #TCEIExpo 2026 and bringing in the world's first bandwidth-on demand lasercomms. https://lnkd.in/ePdieCuq 📍 Swing by Booth #430 at the Cadence Bank Center and meet Travis Brown and Matvei Arefev from our team. We'd love to show you what we've been working on and hear what's top of mind for your network needs. 📅 Book a meeting with us to find out more: https://lnkd.in/eqiWH4VX We look forward to seeing you at TCEI Expo 2026! #TCEIExpo #CENTAURI #Transcelestial #Lasercomms

  • He grew up in a village with no electricity. Then went on to lead major divisions at Intel and Microsoft. In our third episode of Talks at Transcelestial🎙️ We sat down with Ravi Agarwal, Stanford DCI Fellow, Ex-President Intel China & Japan, VP/GM at Microsoft... to ask one question: 👉 What does it take to build something that's never existed before? His answer? "The key secret for success is the fire and the hunger." Ravi's journey is remarkable: → Creator of "Intel in It" — the idea that inspired the iconic "Intel Inside" campaign (Intel Achievement Award) → 40+ years scaling global tech businesses across transformation and strategy → Advisor and mentor to startups building from zero At Transcelestial, that same hunger drives us every day connecting the next billion people using laser communications, from rooftops to low Earth orbit. This one's worth a watch. 🎙️ Link: https://lnkd.in/esyxeJ9T #Lasercomms #Transcelestial

  • Lasers in space are about to change how the world connects.🚀 Not because of what's in orbit but because of what Transcelestial is building on both ends. Optical links between satellites and between satellites and the ground move data faster, cheaper, and more reliably than radio. The physics are unambiguous. But here's what most people miss: the hard part isn't getting lasers into orbit. It's making them work reliably, at scale, across every condition the real world throws at them. 👉 That's a ground problem before it's a space problem. Transcelestial spent years solving it:  ✔️ With Globe Telecom, we're acting as a fiber substitute in locations where no commercial fiber exists and deploying 400 laser links.  ✔️With Taiwan Mobile, we're restoring connectivity after natural disasters knock out sections of their network. ✔️And our clients now include the three major US operators , plus we've just signed NTT. Now we're taking it to orbit.🚀 ✔️First test satellite already in orbit, ground stations live in Singapore and Barcelona ✔️Four customer-grade satellites launching in October As our CEO Rohit Jha puts it: "We've taken the laser from inside a fibre core and run it wirelessly all the benefits of optical bandwidth and cost-per-bit efficiency, deployed without the cable." The technology was always the same. The question was whether you could trust it enough to put it in space. We can and Light Reading just featured us with more details here: https://lnkd.in/ehzKVKxK #lasercomms #CENTAURI #Transcelestial

Typhoon Ragasa didn't just collapse a bridge in Taiwan. It exposed exactly how fragile physical network infrastructure is and how fast laser communications can fix it. When the Mataian River Bridge in Hualien County came down, it took a critical Taiwan Mobile comms route with it. Conventional repairs took six months. Transcelestial’s lasercomms restored their connection within days. Working with Taiwan Mobile and local systems integrator dBTech, our CENTAURI laser link was deployed across the river. Here are the results: ✔️10Gbps full-duplex capacity ✔️99.9% SLA maintained ✔️Operational through persistent rain and harsh weather ✔️Still running today while permanent repairs continue Most people hear this and think: clever workaround. But here's what this actually is the failure mode for modern telecom networks isn't capacity or coverage. It's a physical dependency. One damaged structure and connectivity is gone for months while civil works catch up. Lasercommunications change that. TechDay Asia covered the full story here: https://lnkd.in/eefkRpWe P.S.  If you're an operator thinking about network resilience, lasers are essential. #transcelestial #lasercomms #taiwan #disasterrecovery
