🤖📊 Earlier this week, SFA’s RegTech Subcommittee hosted an engaging session on “AI in RegTech: Trends, Applications, and Promises.” Our expert speakers helped demystify AI, taking us “under the hood” to explore how it's reshaping the RegTech landscape. Key takeaways from the session: 🔍 Human oversight remains essential – While AI is a powerful tool, ensuring data quality, explainability, transparency, and auditability is critical, especially in high-stakes areas such as compliance. 🚀 AI is driving real impact - From horizon scanning in tech risk management to anti-money laundering (AML) and know your customer (KYC) practices, as well as broader regulatory compliance, AI is enhancing the effectiveness of RegTech solutions. 🧠 Various forms of AI are in operation – Analytical AI, Generative AI, and Neuro-Symbolic AI are utilised to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve user experience. 🙌 A big thank you to everyone who joined us! 🚀 Exploring GenAI, WealthTech, and the Future of Work We recently concluded an inspiring Learning Journey with PSB Academy, where over 100 students participated in an in-depth exploration of how Generative AI and WealthTech are transforming the financial landscape in collaboration with the Singapore FinTech Association. 🌐✨ A big thank you to Sheng Shi Chiam, CFA from Endowus, for sharing valuable insights on how Generative AI enhances wealth services. This technology is improving hyper-personalised financial planning, client engagement, operational efficiency, and the management and detection of scams. 🛡️💡 This session served as a potent reminder that to stay relevant in today’s fast-paced digital economy, we need more than just skills; we also require a sense of curiosity for continuous learning, adaptability, and a profound understanding of our work. 🔍 Key themes: - How GenAI is elevating customer experience in wealth services - Leveraging technology to detect and manage financial scams - The growing impact of WealthTech in making finance more accessible to everyone - The importance of remaining adaptable and prepared for the future through ongoing learning.
